Being a mommy can be quite overwhelming. Usually, she is dealing with house chores (aside from taking care of the baby)  like cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the kitchen and all the areas of the house because a baby's immune system is different with a typical person. You know what an infant's immune system is. She/He can capture something and because an illness in just a snap of our finger's time. So it has to be cleaned, everything. And so while embracing such work, a husband should also has to help.

And that was what my Dear Husband did last night when he got home. Oops, not that complete cook like preparing the stuffs and such. Okay, I did the preparation of the chickens for him to cook. Preparation means washing and cleaning the chicken. I took-off the skins and put some lemons on it so it is flawless. :-) Yep, it needs to take-away the before-skin stuff before preparing for seasonings and flour coating.

Hubby can sense the overwhelming task I have and I am thankful of that. One thing also why he did it because he is asking something. Ha! When he does that, no questions ask for the reward. :-) Happy wifey me! Smiling. :-)

College expenses do not only include tuition fees and housing costs. Every college-goer or parents, has to keep a tight budget for that! One also has to think of his food and clothing allowance and textbooks. College textbooks can be quite costly which is why most college students are looking for a more inexpensive alternative. Some would just share textbooks or just go to the library whenever they need to use a textbook. A better alternative would be to rent textbooks. There are book rentals companies that rent out books to thousands of students from various campuses.

Why rent textbooks? Here are some advantages:
  • Save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
  • Allows you to highlight in the pages of the textbooks
  • Free shipping both ways
  • Flexible renting periods and payment plans
  • A donation is made to Operation Smile for every textbook rented
  • Excellent customer assistance
  • Every rental comes with a 30-day worry free guarantee
Textbook rental companies have large inventories of textbooks in every subject. Students will surely find the textbooks that they need just like International Business (12th Edition) book. They are also able to deliver the textbooks on time ensuring that the students will have their textbooks once the semester starts. If the students decide to keep the textbook, they only need to pay a small amount for it. Great, isn't it?

Family-friendly parks are an excellent venue for a simple weekend bonding journey with the whole family. Everyone can just have a relaxing day outdoors with their family after a busy week at work or school. Most parks these days are making some improvements in their facilities to encourage families to go out and spend a stress-free day with each other. Picnic tables are being installed for families who want to enjoy their favorite dishes while enjoying the beauty of nature. Sharing stories and enjoying a delicious meal will be more fun when it is held outdoors from time to time. Park benches are also added for individuals who just want to have a quiet time while witnessing all the other activities within the park. It is also a perfect place to read a new book or reread your favorite novel. Bleachers can also be found in parks where local sporting events and gatherings are being held. Members of the community can support their local teams or watch a presentation by kids from their local school.

(Guest post written by Cindy Perry)

I think that the best kind of storage or decor is the kind that makes everything look really nice. There's no use in storing things in ways that don't look really nice. That's just no fun! So when I started thinking about a way to organize my closet and all of my accessories. What needs it the most though are my purses. I have so many of them and forget some of the cute ones that I have so I'd like to be able to look through them easily.
But I have no clue as to how to organize them in that way so I looked online to see what I could find. While I was browsing storage solutions I found this debt counseling site that I thought would be a really great resource. So I'm going to consult that about my personal debt and see if it can be of any help.
I did find a couple of cute storage solutions, although I think that I also just need to clean out my closet so that I'll be able to see more of my stuff period.

Good "mornight" as I always say. Meaning, the night is already morning/dawn and I did not get a chance to spend a good night sleep as it is what should be. Blame it to motherhood and wifely-hood. Ha! I am just a little kidding. *Grin*. I am busy. As much as I like to do all things but I just cannot. Well, sometimes I manage to do that. But what am I up to for that? As long as the important ones has/need to be done is all set, then that is. Yes, it is just easy to say that but really, it is really very hard (I am not complaining though. It is my choice anyway, but still wishes, there's somebody I can lean on. Ha ha!) doing it especially if you are in my situation. Good thing I won't sweat on the basic needs, I can just imagine if basic needs aren't handy. Gosh! :-) Anyway, I can do this. Aja! After all, it is just on our minds. We should not dwell on the negativity and just focus on what we could do in the situation. Being an optimist attracts positive outcome and that is what I did and am going to do. By all means. I always pray to God to not dwell on negative people and just pray for them. Help them as I can. For God, is good, great of all great!

And so, here I am doing one of the process of time management. I adjust my time as to the comfort of my family. I am just grateful I own my time. I cannot do the time machine and such but I am grateful as it is. And it is time to park the keyboard and see you in the other posts and updates! Keep in touch and always be great on your journey here in the world wide web and as a life sojourner. It is time for me to do the other pending tasks. Have a great mornight!

Saturday has its own journey. It can't be stopped, nor it can be advanced. It steadily go a week after week.

It may not be a great and full of fun Saturday for you but for Saturday, it is already a fun one since it already passed then, don't you think? He! What made me think of such. Alright, it's the start of weekend. I may not be going to shop or stroll the way I want to, I many not be as happy and relax as the other Saturdays but for sure, I am happy that my DH can stay in our house as he don't get up early five o'clock in the morning (5:00 a.m.) for seven o'clock (7:00 a.m.) work and come back at after six o'clock in the afternoon going evening (6:00 pm). He may have stuffs to go which needs him to go out in the house but not that much compared of him working in the office. The catch? I can wash clothes, have a long shower and anything that need attention of our daughter Sam as a sitter. I don't do things which take long or out in the house (doing laundry is meters away out in our apartment though it is just here in the complex) without Sam's sitter.

And so, have a great Saturday! Smile. :-)

March 19, 2012

I have a great day today. Though I woke-up late after being awake at dawn time (I cannot sleep thinking of the soon-happened day of my daughter two days from now) and haven't eaten yet (am in diet you know, I just have a little meal too) to which am hungry now, but am fine. Oops, it is very fine of having a small meal as I am in diet now. Good thing I am not breastfeeding. Alright, my daughter is already six months old anyway. :-)

And so, despite of the thoughts in my mind of my family journey specifically for my daughter two days from now, God knows how to comfort me, HE gives me what I need and even what I want. Great words I got yesterday and some good things happen today which makes my heart fonder. Thank you Lord for the blessings! Indeed, I have a great Monday. And I am sharing this, as a positive vibe. Let's spread the positive vibe! Smile because you deserve it!

Being a first time mom in a journey of Cacai M. (yours truly) is really quite a challenging feat. You are doing loads of tasks all at the same time for the first time and most of the time you will really be hard pressed on trying to fit all of your tasks and chores into one single day, just so you can have a few precious free time and downtime the next day. Don’t you just wish you had more time so you can squeeze more work in? Or so you can enjoy and play with your baby more? Or so you can have a few precious hours to hang your feet for awhile and have 8 hours of sleep? I know it is just wishful thinking, really. Maybe, until my daughter is a few years older, spinning like a top to finish this and that chore will be a constant scenario at home. And maybe I would really have to consider getting a permanent makeup just so I can still look as presentable even if I am drowning in a mountain of dishes to wash and chores to finish. I saw this Permanent Makeup Barrie while I was finishing some online work a couple of days ago, and I must say, they are rather impressive and imagine all the time you can save when you do not have to check your face out in the mirror and apply all those make ups and what-nots every time you head out!

March 13, 2012

Yes, I morning the night and I don't care, of what? I don't care sleeping, alright, I plan to sleep later afternoon when I can have more time, successive time, since she would have her last medicine in the morning by 12 noon with her milk and a little food then, the next is her snack by 3:00 pm or I can have it by 4:00 or 5:00 pm full. So I can have at least 4 hours uninterrupted sleep. I also need to have consecutive naps then to complete the 6-8 hours of sleep, at least 6 hours.

Why I morning the night? The first thing is I have to awake because baby Sam has a fever and I make sure I am always available when she needs me, in the daytime I think I can have my DH but not during night time. So, I need not to sleep. Secondly, I need to update my blog whilst tending her. Of course, she's the priority reason aside from tending my DH's sleeping disorder (yes, having bad dreams or alike). In this way, we're all safe and sound. I have to adjust my time. And so I morning the night. Am fine. I even smile like this: :-) and wink too. ;-) Ha! Good morning USA!

You already know that I have embark into a mommy. I have now my own mommy journey. Spending quality and a lot of quantity times with her is priceless. I've got to nurture her by my  own, and my one and only strength. Without family circles to help me can be an overwhelming job but I choose this and I tell you what, I never regret it. It's precious!

My pretty little girl is getting bigger and bigger each day, I hardly have time to keep up with her developments and milestones and here comes new ones. I am only too glad I was able to stay at home so I can witness all these wonderful little milestones that my little princess has. If I were still working, it will probably break my heart if I was not able to experience her first gooey smile first-hand or witness her first roll-over with my own two eyes. The little girl will be sampling solid foods very soon (actually had her first sampling yesterday) and I cannot wait to see her reaction to different tastes and textures. I am just glad I am just at arm’s reach to guide her every step of the way and to take photos, too!

I guess if you are a mom or any of us as life's sojourner, one of the best investment you can get for your family is a dependable and comprehensive health insurance. Imagine getting covered for when crisis arises like sudden sickness or hospital emergencies. It will save you a great amount of trouble, plus it will be one less thing to worry about, if you will enroll the family to a health insurance that is not only good on your budget but is also tailor-made to fit every of your health needs and requirements. Choose one that will cover hospitalization and professional and doctor fees, as well as the reimbursement of medication and prescription drugs, may that be in part or in full. You can probably check out this affordable health insurance site and see what they can offer you and your family. Find a plan that will be most beneficial to you without giving a dent on your savings account. The old adage, “health is wealth” always rings true, anyway and you best ensure that you and your loved ones are in the pink of health, or at least covered, at all times.

I love seeing myself being at home! Although sometimes I feel like so bored but then I guess for my situation now it is better to be home and not working in an office. I am not against for those who works. Just for my opinion as a mom. I want to see every moves of my child. Seeing her growing is a joy to a mother like me. Nurturing her is heaven to me. So everyday the routine is the same. Preparing and serving food for my husband and taking care of my Sam is a great job for me. I feel fulfilled at the end of the day seeing them happy and contented. In my life I do not need any luxurious things, all I want is happiness, joy, peace and love for and of my family.

What about you? What is more important to you as an earth sojourner, a life traveler?

I hope you all the best!

... from my husband point of view. It is an "in-demand" at the  moment. It has been how many days successive which my DH bought chicken in the market and let me do the frying. He said he likes the taste of my cooking than in the famous food chain like KFC, Mc Donald's, pollo loco and such. Forgive me big food chains but this is just a home-made ones. Yours are great too but DH likes to have home-made ones especially from his wife's cooking. Smile. But yes, he likes my deep-fried chicken. And I have no problem of cooking it for him. In fact, I am very much happy serving his one of his favorite home-made ones cooked by yours truly. Now if you excuse what my DH brag, I am going to unlock my secret of how I cook it. Aside from a hot oil (yes, put and take-out only chickens from stove pan in a hot oil), my secret ingredients of frying a chicken ala Cacai M. is: cooking oil (I use olive oil), meat tenderizer, seasoned salt, ground pepper and flour. One thing too is: I made cuts in the pieces of chicken since it is urgent (can't marinade anymore). It is a choice if you like to take the skin or leave it on. I like to leave it on, the crispy skin makes it more yummy. And that's it! The procedure? After gathering the ingredients, you have to: (1) Wash pieces of chicken, (2) Put oil in a pan and let it boil, (3) make "cuts" of the pieces of chicken using knife, (4) put the meat tenderizer, seasoned salt and bell pepper just enough to taste, (5) coat it of a flour, (6) then fry in a hot oil and again, only take-out the last batch in a hot oil (not that you will take it out only after it is a little bit cold. That's it! Enjoy the "ala Cacai M. fried chicken" ! Whew! ;-)

February 18, 2012

It's past 12 midnight already here. Well, three (3) minutes passed, that is. Yes, it is and am still here. Why? Apparently because I have something to do in my lappy-toppy or do the updates. It has been long time (one week or less is already very long time for me of  having no online/blog activity. No worries guys because am still here alive and kicking. And never came into my mind to abandoning you, my blog. :-) Another thing that am still awake is that it's going to be feeding and medicine time of my baby love, hence, I have to wait or else I would be completely dozed-off already and you know what that mean. Yes, the medicine and her milk-time would be in compromise. Now, am going to boiled a water to let her bottled of milk sits to warm it. It is already time so I have to go. And so I can already sleep. Let's call it dawn/morning time. Whew! The Cacai's journey of being a SAHM. :-) Tired but fulfilling. I feel great despite of the sleepless nights, exhaustion and alike. Her smile and comfort is just an exchange of everything!

February 14, 2012

How was your Valentines Day everyone? I hope you guys enjoyed it as you like it to be. Some others don't celebrate such because they said they are already celebrating it everyday. Yes, it is. But for me, every 14th of 2nd month of the year has to be something special for two hearts in-love or if you have no special someone of opposite sex, no worries. VD has to be unique than any other day. Be it in a simple way or the fancy one, nonetheless, as long as you don't forget to celebrate it. How? Maybe just by giving some flowers, necktie pin, maybe hat or anything (or something) that special to someone/family circle loves or like to have. It is a bonus if it last long. The flowers (shown in the images) which my DH gave it to me was advance (yes, he gave it lately, the evening of 13th) as there's some story about it. It is a bonus to my part. :-) DH actually don't like giving flowers to me at first (three years ago was his first of handing me flowers and from that year onward he swallow his pride just for me. I know it's sweet of him.), but he then realized that what counts is what makes me happy. I can recall he has something for me in every occasion and that mostly jewelry. To cut the cost off (which I decided myself), I tell my DH days before that I only want flowers and nothing else (well, to get batteries of my watches too, it's so simple I know. But I like it this way, this is me and nothing but what I like/want. *wink*). And he did, I am truly happy wifey. Less cost! Savvy, eh? ;-)

I don't care if it won't last as long (this bouquet of flowers lasts a week after valentines because of the flower foods to put in a liter of water and place in a vase where the flowers sit) as the money equivalent won't. It's the thought that counts, you know. And that's how am being happy at the same time we save. :-)

Let's not forget guys that Valentines Day is not only for lovers but also for family circle and alike. So all hearts can enjoy. Now, enjoy responsibly! :-)

January 20, 2012

Every 21st day of January (in Philippines' time) marks the birthday of my biological mother. Yes, the one who brought me into the world, the one who carried me nine months on her tummy. I am an illegitimate child and I don't know the real story why it happened as like that, oops! Just kidding. Yes, I know. And nothing but fate is the reason. Alright. Whatever the story of some other people (I don't know what's the story of my mother for me, but she just don't want to open it up, after all that was already long time ago and she has already her family without me, beginning when I was nine (9) years old but that 's fine, that's what it is. Every person has a story to tell but for me, I just have to accept the reality, the actuality and leave as it is, nothing I can do anyway but just to accept and move on with my life. Grudge won't help! That 's for sure. God is good and he lead me in a good way.), I don't care. This is my life. My lovely life. :-) Positive attitude attracts positive vibe. Alright, this post is for my mother, Gloria who is celebrating her birthday today. I know she won't be able to read this but I don't care. This is my journal, my diary, and so. My random thought, my journey. I have to shout to the world wide web just to greet her a happy birthday. "Isn't that sweet"?, you might say and I don't know what to answer. I just want to let her know that I remember her birthday and wishes her all the best.
