sauteed white sardines noodles soup

As you noticed on the date if you enlarge it, it was 18th the other month (February 18), yep, that is right. I craved for noodles with sardines that time and since I have fresh wet noodles from the market and white sardines along with the spices I wanted to mixed, the craving granted! :-) {And nope, I am pregnant huh! } And so the cooking continued... after a couple of minutes preparing and slicing the stuffs needed, the cooking was finished. It was just just easy because I do not need to find or ran to the store for the ingredients. All I did was to mix and match so it would taste good to my taste. My husband was at work that time so I was the only to eat and need not worried of what I had to cook for him (definitely he do not like to eat noodles soup) so we could eat together or else it was not good for me to eat alone and the husband was hungry on the other side. So that was it, I will going to give the recipe of what I had on the next post. For now, you may like to guess what I put on it as what you can see in the image above. I guess you will guess it right because it is such an easy one. Have a great noodles soup day! And now I am craving again.. (~_~)

As I seen my grandparents and my father building their own house, I could say it is not easy. It requires hard work or if not a money to put it up if you are not a carpenter and wants other professional to build it for you. The materials prices are increasing as well as human labor too. It is also imaginable that if you do not have enough bucks for the construction and such, the time length is longer as ever you could imagine especially if it is built through metal buildings construction materials but I could say the construction will be worth it because of its sturdiness and the lasting preference. I (with my DH) hope to have a house one day but I do not know if it is made of metal ones because of its cost. I just wish to have. (~_~)

deep-fried tilapia fish dinner w/ french fries, fried rice, corn tortilla, beans and salad

That was from fast-food resto foodies to which the names are just below the image. That was my food as dinner for me with green lemonade. I do not like the tortilla and salad in the image personally so I just let it go. DH understands so it's okay to put it to where it just right. I then indulge myself eating the other foods I like with bare hands at the house :-), dip the deep-fried tilapia to my home made vinaigrette (made of vinegar, soy sauce, tomato, onion and a little lemon) and munch in! (~_~) The tilapia is a highlight of mine because I usually order red snapper or catfish, or grilled salmon but because I can imagine the awesome smell of it, I then let my DH get it and to my surprised it was big and so yummm-o! It is meaty and I got what I imagined. I was having a good time with our dinner. Then suddenly, I came to remember my diet. Ooh no diet that time, I let my tummy bulge.. lol... Perhaps if I continue eating more than my body needs made me think that perhaps one day would be checking on some quick weight loss stuff. Whew! My gosh... Anyway, my DH partner got his choice of fried cat fish with tartar sauce and some other sauces like hot sauce and such, french fries, macaroni and cheese, french cobbler then paired with pink lemonade. We had a blast! :-)

pork tocino

It is already Friday! Ooh did I say, it is already Friday? Oops yes, it is. This also means to me that I have to get back to my usual routine on weekends beginning Friday (DH won't work during Fridays up to Sundays yet still have 40 hours per week of his work---think it, how... hehehe..), preparing breakfast by my own hands. I used to do it for this days because DH usual moment is he did not eat breakfast during his working days. All I do that days are ironing his upper shirt/suit, give water for his medicine and making sure that I remind him of his stuff like things to carry going to work or stuffs like that. And so, one day I saw this pork tocino in the market, it was my first time by the way, and bought one pack because I feel eating it aside from let my DH taste. Then the following morning, I did but unfortunately I was the only one ate because he did not felt like eating such that time. He was and currently still on his two pieces of toast bread with butter and other one toast with jam or jelly with boiled or scrambled eggs, then sausage and bacon (sometimes) then as always his fruit juice with four ice cubes. And mine, got the toast breads and the tocino with boiled eggs with coffee and milk (sometimes)--mostly I just drink water or milk. And so, would you care exchange with your pork tocino there? heheh.. just kidding aside, the question is-- do you like tocino for breakfast like I do? What's your favorite breakfast or brunch? Whatever it is, happy eating... :-)

broiled catfish fillet, corn, rice w/ gravy

A typical dinner of DH is through broiling. It is either beef, fish, pork, steaks, or chicken as long as it's broiled. Broiling by the way is similar to grilling but only it is done through microwave. I know mostly of you know but to this is to those who's confuse. Broiling food is easy. All cook would do is warm up the broiler while putting spices, salt or the easy seasoned salt (ingredients in it: salt, sugar, corn starch, yellow 5 or 6, red 40, and blue 2, natural flavors, silicon dioxide--anticaking agent) to the meat. And then put into oven for the desired minutes. Usually for fish is of every half an inch thick it's five to 10 minutes turning upside down twice or until it is fully cook.

The husband likes to have his dinner with corn or sometimes greens heated, then steamed rice with gravy at the top. Then paired with juice drink with ice. Yep, with ice even if it's winter time. That's just what he like so give to what his taste content.

As for me, I do love vegetables more than meat and often like grilled foods, broiled too. What about you, do you love broiled meat?

Enjoy eating...

I remember about my grandmother long time ago as she was still here on earth (deceased now) that most of the time she can't sleep and often she woke up very early. Since I was just teenage that time, I just ignored it since I just thought it's normal because she used to woke up normally early but the "can't sleep" issue is different because why in the earth she can't sleep when other people in the house already asleep?

Remembering about it, made me think that if only I know the foods she has to eat and perhaps organic sleep pills to take on so she had the good night sleep, I had done it. I hate to think that she suffers a lot when she was on her old age, perhaps a normal hormonal change? Ahhh.. whatever it is, I miss my grandma (step grandmother who raised me up)---the loud voice and the ever lovable one. I missed her so, if only she was still here.. :-(

My food trip for this Friday are those above. That's my (with the husband) food trip (dinner specifically) which happened during same day (Friday). He doesn't work during Fridays so most of the time we have some food trips together which usually just bought outside then we bring it home and then have the eating fun...*winkz*. Okay, those are sweetened pork, chicken curry, fish stew, steamed rice, sweetened taro root (with ice as for dessert), and bean sprout (togue in Filipino dialect). Then two cups lemon juice for the drinks.

Monday! It's typical workers' first day today, it's also typical Musical Monday entry memory. For now, I gonna feature a "Happy Birthday" song in advance honor of some special persons of my life who will celebrate next week. First is my husband dear, then my father on the 16th, my mother on the 22nd, and my "gone" step grandmother (who raised me) on the 18th. I put it on the last because I believe the birthday of the "gone" will be changed to their death anniversary. So instead I celebrating her birthday on his actual birthdate, I (we---her family) am celebrating it on 18th. So, I include her in here. Birthday is so special to me, so I am greeting them in advance (though I presume they're not a regular reader on this journal or perhaps won't read this)---this is to acknowlege and salute who the kind of people they are to me. This is just words but appear to be very significant to me. You are dear and love! So here's the song for you... I don't care if you call me dramatic. Sometimes it needs like this to show appreciation. Here it is from me (through the singer Beyonce) is singing:

I am not a morning person so apparently, I seldom eat breakfast. But when hubby bought (which is only every weekends because dear hubby goes to work at 6 o'clock for 7-6 pm work schedule good for 4 days in a week and doesn't eat breakfast too {perhaps coffee and some snacks at his workplace), I am anxious to eat. Who won't be pleased with that food? lol.. Perhaps I was just lazy to cook that's why I won't eat breakfast (sometimes). Anyway, that is the typical American Breakfast (sorry by the way for the mess on the chocolate drink cup) which includes scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash brown, and pancakes with hot chocolate. I can make all of it but sometimes our taste likes to have an "outside foods". I am beginning to adopt foods in here but long ago, I just can't swallow it.. little by little my taste adopted (I force myself or else I will be sicked of starving). :-)

Ever since my husband love to have a motorbike (like most men does), he even owned one long ago. And guess what he wants to own once again after he retire from his job. And I'm pretty much excited about it. Perhaps if God permit we could have it when we live in the Philippines one day (hopefully). God is good, and we are positive about it. Well, everybody should be positive or else there's no sense of living (lol).. kidding aside.. I know.. I know.. :-) He planned to have no fancy one that just accommodate what we like and could go here and there for some errands and such. We want to live in a simple neighborhood as well since we can't afford to live in fancy ones (lol).. kidding aside but that's true.. :-) Since we like to have motorbike, we just hope that bikes' accessories and stuffs are just right in the neighborhood so it is accessible anytime we like to have it or if there's some occurrence. We are thinking that would it has like motorcycle accessories shop here in USA that you can compare prices of different brand in just one store. Actually, there are many signature motorcycle accessories stores in here, like Kuryakyn and many others, name it and you can have it! We just hope that everything will be fine or else it could be one of the daunting task if aint have one. Well, that's why there's what we call planning, right? :-) I know that Philippines could not be America since it is unique in its own way. So, we'll just see or plan B is going to take place when talking about motorbike stuff. Anyway, God is good and HE knows that my husband is working hard and I just pray that he could harvest the fruit of labor he exerted and got what he likes to have. Ooh well, I am looking forward of the motorbiking journey.. :-)

One of me and dear hubby's Christmas preparation is the smoked baked ham shown above. At first I wanted to cooked the ham which has to be cooked for long hours through a raw pork meat-- that ham which is super soft and so tasty. I even texted my aunt in the Philippines (it's one of her specialty when it comes to cooking) how she made it and asked for the recipe. And she texted me back and gave it to me the ingredients and a little instruction on how to do it. And so I Googled it more. But then I found out that 99% cook here in America use the smoked ham and clover. I wasn't convinced with it, insisted to cook the traditional cooking even how many hours of simmering it with the ingredients to make it fully soft. After hours of looking at YouTube and other information, I proceeded to the market and bought stuffs for "Noche Buena" centering the ham. :-) Hubby dearie don't like to eat though... even just a little to taste, it's not his thing. He wasn't fond of it. And so even he don't want to eat it, he let me got it. In the wet market, I haven't found a good pork meat, only one left and the rest was sold out already. So I ended up looking at the smoked ham.. Couple of minutes comparing different holiday hams, I got the brownish two pounds one. So that was it, I sliced the two layers plastic cover and slice it(crisscross preferably) a bit from end to end and put pineapple juice. Then put some brown sugar in the skin slits. Then I put some of the pineapples slices at the top of the ham and covered it with tin foil. Baked it at 325 degrees Farenheit for 20-30 minutes every one pound so all in all I put it in the oven for 40-60 minutes. And done! Happy eating..

My friend in Wisconsin was married last year. It's not such a different news because the couple are very in-love with each other. The fact that they planned their marriage date on Winter season is quiet something but perhaps unique. I could say because mostly brides want to wear sleeveless wedding gowns or such pretty much enticing gowns but as I said theirs were not since they want a snowy, cold one. Well, I do not have a disagreement since that was what they want. It is just that it was pretty unique. And the couple were very much excited about it, in fact, they have their wedding accessories and all the wedding stuffs prepare one month before the wedding date. All in all, the wedding went well and both families of the couple were happy and of course the couple did. And now they are still very loving with each other and savors every moment that they are together. Isn't there winter wedding ceremony idea awesome? For me, yes it was though ours was held in the summer season. Though they have a unique one but I guess for many isn't because of the weather and such. Well, everyone has a unique idea in their own way. I am then happy for every couple's choice, as long as they are happy with each other.

I am blessed to have friends both online and offline. Yep, I got packages. I said packages because it's two of it. One package is for me and my Dear Hubby from Analou and Dennis. I got it after I shopped for Christmas cards, that was 16th of Dec (Wednesday). I was stunned seeing there was a package at our door and named. Analou by the way is my blogger buddy and has authored "The Shadow of Our Pasts and the Silhouette of Our Future", and "Analou's Place to Remember" blogs. I was the one introduced her to blogging and am glad she loved it as a way for some comfort. Well, as I said it's one way to find comfort sometimes and some socializing too so she won't missed much her family in the Philippines. Okay back to the gift, I recalled I mentioned to Analou a bit that we will have an exchange gift but I wasn't able to told her really. I just cut it off thinking that it's crisis nowadays. So, we can both save money :-). But she/they made it and there it's my/our conscience not to give back :-).. so me with the help of my hubby dear(financially) shopped and mailed it two days ago. The postman said it will arrive last day. Hopefully it did. :-) Below is the package content.

This is our first Chrismas package as a couple. Thanks An and Dennie for the gift. We love it. Now, we have a lot of kitchen knives already added to our kitchen tools. You really know! muahhh!

Anyway, the other package was from Dhemz, my other blogger buddy. She surprised me with a beautiful purplish sleeveless with a family picture and newsletter. I love it and I will show you on my next post. Have a good day!

I will be having my biometric (finger print) on Thursday, two days from now. That is for the removal of my conditional permanent residency. We (hubby and me) mailed the application and two days after USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) mailed me the Receipt Notice. Six days after the Receipt Notice, they mailed me the Biometric Schedule and there I have it on Thursday. Hubby will be absent for half day plus because my schedule is twelve o'clock and it's not that near in our location now. Hopefully it will turn out good. Okay, I gotta go to go laundry since the weather turn out good already today. Yesterday it rained all day long, I was glad it's not that heavy but due to it, I postponed my laundry chore. So bye for now and see yah later diary.. I have to make my steps for other chores for today after eating.

Today is Monday, so how's your weekend folks? As for me, it's okay. I got a lot of rest with my hubby. Ooh well bonding moment time when there's no work for him then. At Saturday, just some little cleaning in the house, grocery time, and went to get my dried fish -- well not really the dried fish that I want (bakay) but dried squid I had. Perhaps next time to other store (far though). Anyway, I also got some Indian mackerel fish and I fried it, suddenly hubby liked it! I just got the bones after fried with olive oil (olive oil is good for people on diet) for his convenience. I got also pan-de-leche bread which I love to eat every now and then for snacks and breakfast with coffee and milk. I also got durian fruit which I miss it so much. Then yesterday (Sunday), same as usual daily household chores, cooking, etc. then watched football (college football and the matched-up of San Diego Chargers vs. New York Giants = Chargers won with one point) and sci-fi movies (the old movie Alien vs. Predator, etc). All in all it was okay. I love it having a lazy day.. (~_~) I don't want to get always excited which I got from my hubby who is just cool. (~_~)

When it comes to the word "Swiss" or Switzerland, it always pops-up first on my mind about nature and milk. It is nature because the surroundings are green. It is also milk because one of the first leading provider of milk(whether in can, carton, plastic) is this country. And that made me realized that Switzerland is one of the most Environmentally friendly countries in the world after Columbia and Yale Universities, the world's countries evaluator when it comes to criteria concerning the environment, air pollution, richness of species, handling of natural resources and climate change. Switzerland is the number one. According to my source, a decisive factor for this excellent result is the wastewater system, the high water quality and the excellent traffic system. About the emission of greenhouse gases, Switzerland has the most efficient economy. Switzerland takes a tough stance on pollution and introduced revolutionary Legislation that would help reduce the amount of pollution. Switzerland also pays fees for their water and waste management services as well as environmental taxes which promote personal responsibility.

Apparently, I would love to go to sustainable Switzerland(with my hubby) to enjoy its green environment and the fresh air, clean waters everywhere. That would be a paradise! The fresh and green-friendly hotels and resorts that await us to stay ooh I hope it would be very soon. I would love to stay in mountainous area wherein hubby and me would enjoy the silent environment with a great ambiance and will have to enjoy watching the nature trail, birds chirping, and the clean body of water which we can swim and enjoy without any crowded peeps. Drinking water anywhere in the area. We would love also to enjoy biking and try its sustainability railroad ride of which at every 12 minutes train will come and go making us not to worry who will be the driver and the gas saving making it green everyday. We would love also to see Europe's first residential building whose energy consumption is entirely met by solar energy since 1989 which until now running without any problem. And there are still more lots to do to roam around the Green Wonderland, biking together and enjoying the abundance of organic products to taste, and more. It would be a great vacation. I hope it will be soon.

Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel at Branson, Missouri

Ooh Branson, how I love thee! Summer fun has just started yet it's not too late to get a vacation at Missouri, Branson! To stay at Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel or either of each is awesome for this summer vacation. Families and lovers being around its community at Branson’s championship golfs courses, lakes, museums and 49 live entertainment theaters are very fun to go into. Ooh well, have you planned yet? For me, I(with my hubby) just made an itinerary plan to have a vacation in Branson, Missouri this summer fun.

But before that, let's take a look for the two hotels of Branson that we will have to decide which one of it we will have to stay in.

Situated within the electrifying entertainment capital of the Midwest in Branson, Missouri, the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel offer guests access to shops, boutiques, restaurants, a river walk and other attractions. The new Payne Stewart Golf Club, managed by Hilton, is close by and features hole after hole of breathtaking scenery.

Located in the Town Square of Branson Landing, the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is an ideal location to enjoy all that the entertainment capital of the Midwest has to offer. The Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is walking distance to the Branson Convention Center. Many of the guest rooms offer spectacular views of Lake Taneycomo and the fountains at Branson Landing. Shop, Dine, Play and Stay at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing. Located in Branson Landing, directly off Business Hi-way 65 among Lake Taneycomo and historical downtown Branson.

The Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is within walking distance to historical downtown Branson. Branson Landing is a new 110 store shopping and entertainment venue.

I hope our itinerary of things to do to experience the amazing and spectacular Branson will be soon realize. With that, we already created our four days stay in one hotel I mentioned. For the first day, we will have to relax a bit, and roam around the hotel area, then, at evening we will have to watch the Branson Landing Fountain that it's known for dazzling water shows with light, fire and sound comes together to entertain and enhance our soon-to-be experience in there.
Branson Landing Fountain

For our second and third day in the community, we will going in town, of which entertainment and attractions awaits whether we will stay at Hilton Promenade of Branson Landing or Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. Since Branson has ongoing events for everyone this summer likes exciting concerts by Lost Highway, Firefall and Big Smith at the Branson Landing, the 21st Annual Downtown Branson Fiddle Fest, Silver Dollar City’s fun-filled National Kidsfest and Southern Gospel Picnic, and much more then this will surely be very fun for us. And for the fourth day, I guess we(hubby and me) will go for movie and after, will go for swimming at hotel's indoor pool and hit the spa or jacuzzi before we leave for home. With so much to offer, this exciting vacation community is perfect for everyone! How about you, have you check the great deals and packages this summer fun at Spectacular Branson? You might better check it out and plan now before its limited offer expires.

Am not yet a mommy but I hope it will be one day with God's permit. Time will just tell (I don't regret without having yet at this time though). GOD is good and HE will provide what is good for us, right? So I don't worry about it. Ooh yeah I agree it is a very nice feeling to be a mom provided you are ready for it. Anyway, this is not about being ready or not. This is about parenting forum. I saw a post of one of my blogger friend(a mom) that she needs someone to talk to about parenting skills. About how to handle her child from potty training, sleeping, behavior, time out, tantrums, free reward charts, eating and recipes, family life, school, bath time, and etc.. blah blah.. One thing also she wants is parenting advice from expert and communication between mommies or carers. Good thing I found such website and I can share it to her. This is also helpful to wife who just become a first mom or to a single mom. Handling a family and a child is such a fulfilling, tiring, and exciting at the same time. Babies are angels so they need to be nurtured and care while they are still young so they will become a fruitful person one day and that is her(mom) motto. Have fun being a mom!

This is somewhat like a follow-up of my last post which is below. Yesterday was not a good day for me--I got headache and can't think of something. I wanted to push it hard but can't. I just get some sleep and decided not to took anything--just purely sleep and more food. Sometimes I forgot to eat one meal a day.. ngarrr.. haven't mentioned not so enough sleep. I know it's not good but it's that way sometimes.. Some things need to be finished so that one will have a little something. Sometimes it's just the way it is. Hubby will surely got mad(haven't seen him mad) because he always said to take good care of my health-- he is also a believer of the quote "Health is Wealth" and perhaps you too. I guess it's a general motto? Anyway, thank you friends for the uplifting message and some. Thanks a lot. Am not yet so okay but I need to be online and do something. So, don't worry everything(my health) is under control now(optimistically thinking). I will take some excedrin later after eating. Thanks for the thoughts.
