I was at the supermarket earlier, and as I entered the main entrance, the two ladies came over me and asked if it is okay that they would ask a few minutes of my time. I had to ask back if what it is all about because I need to be in a hurry. Well, the ladies just wanted me to try their product, which is good for everyone's health. It’s oatmeal, a food high in soluble fiber.

Yeah, I understand that fiber is good for our health, and fiber is classified as either soluble or insoluble. Soluble fiber has been shown to help lower blood cholesterol while insoluble fiber may help reduce the risk of colon and rectal cancer. Foods high in soluble fiber include oat bran, oatmeal, beans, peas, citrus fruits and apple pulp. While foods high in insoluble fiber include whole-wheat breads, wheat cereals, wheat barn, cabbage, carrots, and apple skin. Anyway, I didn't buy the oatmeal, and it is very seldom that I buy oatmeal. But it is pretty good. Maybe next time, after all it is good!

How about you, do you like oatmeal? How do you like it?

Breakfast is the first meal of the day and is the most important. It must be the heaviest meal that everyone should take since most of the activities are concentrated early in the day and the body needs more energy in order to work effectively. Taking a heavy breakfast will help you eat less at succeeding meals. This is the first step to weight control.

School children sometimes miss eating breakfast because of the following reasons: Breakfast is not yet ready. School bus, school service is waiting. The kids don’t like the food prepared. The kids woke up late and had no more time to eat. The kids don’t have appetite to eat yet because it is still early. In order to create an appetite for breakfast, here are my suggestions. Sleep early and get up early. Exercise a little. Take a bath. Dress up without being in a hurry. Drink milk or fruit juice. Serve simple and easy digested foods. Eat fruits and vegetables, and serve attractive foods.

Time flies too fast, soon it will celebrate the birth of Christ. This season reminds me of how precious Christ is, he is the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit! I am not into religious topic here, just reminding everyone to try to think of Him not only this coming Christmas but every day! I am now completely fine in every Christmas, I have Sam who fills up the emptiness in me. She makes me happy and complete. So, I am planning to buy some presents for my angel. She brings the world to us with her dad. No matter what, I will do the best I can as a mom. God has His plan for me as a mom and for Sam.

Well, Christmas is the time of giving and for you guys out there be prepared. Prepare for foods and drinks! Smile. :-) Give and don’t expect for returns. God knows what you are doing so leave it all to Him. He is the one in control! Right?!

Our body needs proper nutrition to keep us alive, strong and healthy. The different parts of our body work well when we eat the right kind and amount of food. It is important to consider the different nutrients we get everyday from the food we eat. Eat food rich in protein to help the body grow big and strong, carbohydrates and fats provide the body with heat and energy, and food rich in vitamins and minerals to make the body free from diseases and illnesses.

Eating a balanced diet helps maintain a pleasing personal appearance and good health. Always eat three meals in a day. Have a complete breakfast to give you the fuel needed by the body for the whole day activities. Eat green, yellow and leafy vegetables, and fresh fruits. Drink milk everyday. Avoid eating too much candies, chocolates, and junk food. They are not good for the body.

There are times when I can’t avoid having leftovers. Alright, almost all the time. I do that because I have a young child who always demand my attention. In short, I don't have a lot of time to cook new meals every time. Also, when the husband fails to come home at mealtime or when the husband tag me to eat out during untimely occasions when food had been prepared at home, food may be left over for the next meal. I know it is not good if I throw away the food, but what can I do with that? Well, I never discouraged. I am not a good chef, but I tried my best that I could prepare a new dish from the leftover foods. I have learned this from my experience and it is really effective. You just have to remember that when dealing with leftovers, you have to change their form. A dish of reheated vegetables tastes flat and is devoid of appetite appeal. But wash them and make them into golden omelet, and you have something for the family. To throw away the food is a waste, so be creative and use your imagination to create a new dish from the leftover foods.

Anyone who loves coffee? Well I have a friend who cannot stand coffee at all. She gets immediately sick with coffee. So she rather have to drink tea instead of coffee. We all know that too much coffee is not good. Everything too much is not perfectly advisable.

Well, asking me I can have coffee and tea as well. Thankful that I don’t have that much problem for the two. But I always check on the best one to drink specially during colder days. For anyone who loves coffee then what kind of coffee do you really drink? A coffee with sugar or milk, or just pure coffee (as being called "black coffee")? Remember that coffee has its caffeine content so just take it easy drinking too much coffee and on tea as well. You can choose tea without any caffeine. Or in other hand, you have the option of having some cacao instead of coffee or tea.

You choose. :)

It has already been months that this mommy (yours truly) hasn't been able to grab an ice cream for myself because every time I can get a hold of the ice cream that I used to love, my partner teased me that it would make me fat. True! --- And that's because I love to ate it, I just imagined myself grabbing those once a chance (well, I had always a chance because it was always in our ref. Imagine the calories I can get. Okay, that was before. This mommy want to get her pre-pregnancy body back. I am a mommy who is a goal-oriented to have that desirable body. In short, I am in diet to get that figure that I want. *wink*

I was delighted to know from a co-blogger about this Arctic Zero ice cream desserts. Ooh yeah, an cream of 150 calories per pint. I love the idea of  "a protein shake in ice cream form!" .Gosh, I then told my husband about it that if by chance, I would like to try it. And lo and behold, I got it! Happy me. :) I got to try the different flavors they have in pints (flavors: chocolate peanut butter, cookies and cream, mint chocolate cookie, chocolate, coffee, , strawberry, vanilla maple, pumpkin spice) and bars (in 4-pack box with 2 chocolate and 2 vanilla, and the other one is in 4-pack box with 2 strawberry and 2 orange cream) as what you can see above. It's not about the taste but what I can put it in my mouth to which I also have the idea of an ice cream. The most what I love is its ingredients are of " no artificial flavors, no artificial flavors and no artificial sweeteners" .

I even shared it with my friends said it is great because it is gluten-free and such. It's good for her daughters and she grabbed one of it. It's great to share it with them. Another friend too has liked it and even her kids (below) loved it.

Thanksgiving will be in two days, you can grab my idea of gift-giving to your friends or family who are fond of ice creams who can afford to consume only a number of calories and other areas they're concern when it comes to health.

Honestly, what do you think when it comes to pretzels? Alright, you may think the traditional pretzels to which it can be located under snacks/junk foods or something to munch on. Oops you got to recheck if you think such, that's because what you saw are products from Pretzel Crisps Deli Style which can be found in deli area of the grocery store. And yes, different texture and taste from the traditional ones.

It has seven (7) different flavors, to names are: Sesame, Buffalo Wings, Original, Garlic Parmesan, Everything, Chipotle Cheddar and Jalapeño Jack. For me, I like most the Everything flavor. Though all are salty but I eat it with something sweet like that of peanut butter.

I think this is great to give as a gift to your mother or friends who loves cooking, as a celebration of Thanksgiving or a way of thanking her in any way when it comes to foods that gives impact on you. :-)

What do you think? And so, Happy Thanksgiving then! All the best!

Have you observed among the several birthday parties that you have attended that the menu would
always include a noodle dish? It may be in the form of spaghetti, egg noodle soup, and similar recipes.
According to some beliefs, those dishes are being served to ensure the celebrant’s long life.

No one can tell if this tradition is really serving its purpose. The fact that celebrant is having a
thanksgiving gathering for reaching another year of his or her life, it is like hoping that the succeeding
years would as or more abundant as the present year.

Those noodle dishes are just representations of looking forward for living that long. Others who don’t
believe in traditions ensure longer life by being physically fit, watchful in their diet and living a healthy
lifestyle. It may be a different approach but the main goal is still the same, longer life.

"Yummy" .

That is what I said when I had a Chobani Greek Yogurt. I was alarmed that it has to be mixed all of the ingredients in a cup. And yes, I did. FYI, I also tried doing that in many yogurts before Chobani, but to no avail. I can say this is the yogurt that let me came back again and again. Came back to eat, not to run. Ha! Kidding aside. Yeah, it really is yummy-o!

Long before, I heard that Greek Yogurt is awesome in taste and to my surprise, I agree (I have a problem of trying again another yogurt because the taste were not good and I don't like to have another one again) to taste it. Until then I know that I am already loving the Chobani Greek Yogurt especially my favorite black cherry flavor and pineapple. :) The fact that it's non-fat adds my love for it. Ooh yeah, you gotta try this and check it out for yourself. Yummy!

Many people drink caffeine for what they consider a good reason: to stay awake to finish an important job. Who can criticize someone dedicated enough to stay up a little later or get up a little earlier for the sake of a worthwhile project? But while coffee may help get you out of a tight situation, the benefits don’t come free. In fact, here are the reasons to stay away from it. You will still be tired eventually. Your addiction will get stronger and it doesn’t make you work more efficiently.

Knowing you can work with coffee makes you less effective during normal waking hours. And it may convince you to take on more work than you can handle. After all, coffee will always be there to help you make it through, right? But you can get more done during the day if you know there’s no crutch to fall back on when you get sleepy. Thus, break with your coffee habit.

It seems like it is always a struggle for me nowadays to get into fresh from my kitchen foods. You know, I am a mommy who is so hands-ful to my family, yes not only to my daughter Sam since I am  not only a mommy but a wife and housewife. :-) Okay, my husband gave me a break since Friday and I hope it would be until Monday (Monday is holiday here in USA honoring for Labor Day holiday). Wink. I said "break" or a bit of day-off because I can sleep as I want (though not too long but it is such sweet if you somebody's does the job you are handling like giving milk to the precious princess, putting the laundry to the washing machine).

Then I woke-up feeling hungry and scouring in the kitchen what to eat (or what to cook). DH likes me to cook corned beef which I just simply turned it down because I like to have an easy-minute food which landed my mouth to a canned fish or sardines which I got to open the "hot ligo sardines" and mixed it with vinegar, salt and a little salt then ate it with rice along with Dr. Pepper soft-drink (my favorite drink as of the moment after meals).

Then suddenly DH requested again to cook for corned beef to which I wrongfully-thought lately for me to eat it. Ha! The thing is, he requested it for him to eat or viand. Ha! And so I cooked the big can of "Pam" corned beef I bought online. It is my first time to try this corned beef and I can say it is delicious. I heat it up with a diced of garlic and onions (of course a little olive oil with it to brown), along with a dash of salt. Minutes after it was cooked. But before that, I got to cook for rice. And so dinner had been great. I even ate twice. Ha! :-)

Thinking of preparing a food for the table is sometimes made me hard to think. As much as possible, I wanted to prepare food that hubby would like to eat as well. He is not picky, but there are foods that he is not allowed to eat. I wouldn't like to prepare a food that only me will eat. If that’s the case, I would just cook a little. As I mentioned on my previous post, I cooked shrimps, and I ate it all. Geee! I know it is not good for me if I ate too much. I would surely break my figure (Oh! As if I have a perfect figure, but for hubby, yes I have. Lol).

By the way, my little princess has been doing great these past few days, and I am so glad that after her surgery, I could see improvements on her health. She can now play, smile, and enjoy her milk. My journey as a mother has just been started, and I will try my very best that I could give her a good life with the help of my husband, of course. I know I still have a lot of things that I should learn as a mother, and I am willing to learn these things for the sake of my child. Back to the food that I wanted to prepare for tonight, Uh! Oh, I still don't know yet. I guess I have to check first what's in the fridge or pantry right now, so I could decide what to cook for tonight.

Days ago I made one. A pound of big shrimps which was supposedly I was going to cook it half for stew and the other one as a soup "sinigang" or a sour soup with a dash of tamarind along with a chayote, scallions, ginger, lemon grass, tomato and a bell peppers (I use to colors, red and green to make it colorful). Yeah, it supposedly two viands but I only made one. Ha! I got tempted of pouring all the shrimps there as my taste ordered me to. Whew! What a yummy shrimps it was! And guess what made it yummier? --- It was because I was the only one who ate it all? And the answer is Yes, ha ha! Nope, I offered how many times to my husband and nearby friend but they always put it off and I always saw it when going to the kitchen or opening the refrigerator to which I surrendered on the nth times. And guess what, I ate it! Smile. :-)

You know you cannot put-off the sea foods kind of food in the ref for two days.

And I had a great meal! I will share a picture to you next time. Ooh wait, if I took a picture of it, I think I forgot it as I was excited of the shrimps soup I made. Whew! I just then want to tell, happy eating for the next! Wink.

If possible, having broccoli in every meal serves best to your health and your journey here on earth. Specially if you are high-blood, this is very good of taking-off those highs. Broccoli is known as great help to lower your blood and maintain it in the right pressure. I love broccoli folks, just boil or steam it, then it is ready to eat and add on your meal. This is very easy to cook and no need much time in preparing.

Aside from broccoli any vegetable salad will do also. You don’t need to be an expert to combine vegetables in making salad. We all know that vegetables are the most healthy ones than having meat every day.

Do you love broccoli pals? If not, then start adding it into your meal from now on and I can assure you that it will help you keep/maintain a healthy living. If anybody here have some healthy tips please do share in my post. I will surely truly appreciate it. I will surely get back to you and give thanks! ~hugs&kisses~

Journeying in our kitchen is one chore that I love now that I am a wife. As a Filipina I do really love eating Pinoy foods. The one that you cannot take away from me is the love of ‘adobo’. Adobo can be chicken or pork. Those are my favorite meat by the way. Adobo is a very well-known easy Pinoy food. It is actually one brand of Filipino when it comes to food. Smile. I can share on how to do it, here:

Ingredients:
1.) Chop chicken or pork meat
2.) Soy sauce
3.) Vinegar
4.) Black pepper & Pepper leaves
5.) Garlic
6.) Salt
7.) Water

How:
Mix them all together in a casserole and cooked it until it will be totally done. It will take 20-30 minutes depends on how much meat you are cooking. Check from time to time. Then right after your adobo is ready for serving . Try this one and surely you will say yummy… adobo taste so good and very easy to do, no need step and steps of process. Not much ingredients, so light and easy! Good luck guys, let me know if you do. I can teach you more if you need help! Just leave on your comments here.

Are you on diet? Thinking of journeying towards it? If you do so, then watch on your intake. Make sure to avoid much calories in every food you take. Avoid too much calories. I have a friend who totally dedicates herself to be firm and sexy so what she does is she really has to avoid eating much carbo and food or drinks that contains higher calories. And yes, she has a very fit and healthy bod. In my case, sometimes do check on content but not totally avoiding them. So far, I do not need to go on dieting as I am not complaining yet into my figure now. I am well satisfied and thanks GOD for giving me a healthy lifestyle and of course it is always very good to watch out our intake. We must be aware that illnesses are just around the corner so we must fight on it if possible.

So if you have not given a chance to choose the right foods and drinks to consume, then maintain it. Do all the possibility to live healthy and in the future (apparently as now too) you will be the only who can benefits on it.

I am just lucky that I still maintain my figure after giving birth to Sam. I am flattered to read comments on Facebook online and even with my friends that still I have the same figure as before. Well, not so, because I already have crow's feet, okay the stretch marks (good thing it is not that visible now. Thanks to cocoa butter. Haha!). Mostly when you have a child the possibility of gaining is really there. But for me, just so thankful that I am not in that stage yet. I had a crash diet with the help of detox cleansing method which lasted 10 days (if you are following me, you already know it since I posted it here). Hoping never at all after such!

What is my secret? Well, some of my friends are asking me that way. All I can say nothing, since I already told you. Just eat what I want and get enough sleep if possible. Maybe it is in our genes also or a self-control. Control to the bunch of foods that if I ate it all, for sure I could be  humongous as you think. For me stresss can also make us big, since I experienced when I was stress, I like to eat. Ah, self-control. Ha! Of course I want to maintain this way so thanks God that HE gave me the shape that I want too. As long as I am healthy that is the most important matter to consider. Stay healthy no matter what!
Just be thankful of what you have now, sexy or not.

Do you love grilling during summer? I am one of those grill addict! I don’t know what to call it but I really love grilled foods.  Fish, chicken, pork, beef are the most likes and most wanted for me. I miss them actually, it is now time to do the grilling once again. I am planning to do it one of these days when we will be settled in at home. I cannot promise to do it alone because I have Sam to attend first.

For those who loves grilling, we are in the same boat! Grilled foods are healthy and they are delicious and super yummy right? Way back in Philippines, it is very easy to order grilled food in the restaurant and they really are oozing and tempting. So I do really miss it! Here, you must have to do on your own to eat such delicious food that you’ve missed from your birth or origin country or you will pay an extra, extra more bucks for somebody to do it for you (services from restaurant). Ouch! Okay, I usually do broiling instead of grilling since I can do it inside the house, turn on the timer and done! I can even broil dried fish which is so yummy-delicious in the oven to which hubby doesn't care (well, I heard that most American husbands does care when wife does it because of its odor? Am a lucky wife! Wink.). Okay, I just gave you a tip about cooking dried fish without a cooking oil if you cannot do it by grilling (also to be sure, make it when hubby isn't at home, do it in the name of odor?). Wink.
