Whew! It has been long time having been here!

How's everything, how's everybody? I hope everyone's treating you fairly! As to my end, nothing much, just my birthday the day before this day. Mayo Cinco, eh? Yep, together I celebrate such commemoration!

So how was it?

I don't really had a blast, but all went fairly well. My DH (Dear Husband) is a home-buddy type of person, as in he likes to stay at home 90% (if not 100%) and it's a little "really" thing 'coz you know, it's some kind of a boring thing, but then, that's what he is. Though, he is like that, he still goes out sometimes or should I say drives me and our daughter to somewhere, well it's only sometimes 'coz there are many appointments during the last day of the week for either one of the three of us or for all of us. You don't want to imagine. That's how hectic our schedule is. Also, I could not remember we traveled together for a week or two-weeks vacation. He use some of the hours in a day to have an important appointment, so it is still totaled into full vacation of two-weeks in a year or so, only that it is being spent through getting hours to hours for as I said important appointments. It is some kind of kinda weird but we are saving it for the future, or the money that could be spent for such just has to be saved, or something like that. We are not an extravagant little family. And we're hoping that one day we could spend it the way we deserve. Okay, so much for that. I will be crying if I could go on and on. Whew! And so I can only wish for a site-seeing for famous attractions nearby to which I was not able to enjoy of about five years of stay here in USA with my husband. I don't like to complain.

And so, a day before my natal was a plan to go to Aquarium of the Pacific and yes, hubby is okay for that as I said a birthday treat as a family. Wink. Wink. And I can only be excited. That day will be Sunday, a weekend. So we have to be there at opening time @ 9:00 - 10:00 A.M. to bet the crowds. That's the plan. And I did plan too of what to bring, prepare, and these and those. Night came. And you bet, our princess was not able to sleep early or, sleep @ 7 P.M. and woke-up @ 11 P.M. then up until 2 A.M. Whew! And yes, I was so tired to wake-up early and I was thinking of our princess. So we slept what our body needs. And decided to go to Huntington Botanical Garden and there we go but they're only up to 4:30 P.M. And we left at home 3:00 PM,hubby drove. "is it worth it? " -- that's what was on our mind in the middle of the road going to Huntington BG. And we talked about it. And suddenly I just said, "we will just go to Rose Garden" in Exposition Park in Los Angeles as hubby suggested as he knows the place and he used to go there as it is near where he live when he was a child until high school. As it's already late and we could not enjoy fully the HBG (to think its entrance is $23 each, though free for child and parking) but Rose Garden is free and up until 6:00 P.M., just pay for $10 parking. And hubby thinks that I enjoy roses very much. Just as we were about to turn to San Marino (it's already near the HBG), hubby turned the wheel on to Rose Garden, just was we decided. Yay! Off we went. Hubby started to talk about his used-to-be life whilst in the Exposition Park and told me what are those big buildings are, and these and those. It was great listening and talking to him!

Yes, Rose Garden in Exposition Park is fantastic! It has 145 varieties of roses. I enjoyed looking at the beds and bushes of beautiful fantastic roses. Then I remember the classic story of a fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast where a place of amazing beautiful roses can only be found. And I don't know if there's a place that you can compare of it. Sure enough, I so enjoyed it there. And the moment we found the area to rest to which it is one of the white-painted beautiful rest house inside the Rose Garden. The moment we rested, I then grabbed a corn-in-a-cob and the "suman" that I brought. I got cold drink. The two (my hubby and about-3-yrs old daughter) didn't want anything but me, so off they enjoyed gazing each other in the walking area of the roses' bushes. I got the chance to capture some great memories of them whilst munching on. Then I was done eating. Getting ready to explore the whole garden. Hubby was tired driving and gazing each other (with my daughter), to which he enjoyed. He stayed with the stroller in the big fountain where it is located in the middle. Just so you know, we stayed in the farthest side, so he still was able to enjoy the half-way, although he used to enjoy it (as I said when he was a child until high school). The little lady and I tour around the garden and take pics, running after each other, laugh out loud and even lying the cool clean grasses. Just pure laugh. And the little miss kept saying "hi" to people she saw whilst they look at her. She's my friendly little bug and I can't be more proud. Smile. And ooh did I say that some big birds flying and did its sound. And I got a shot of such! Sounds cool, isn't it? Yeps, it was great surrounded with beautiful 145 varieties of blooming bushes of roses. We wanna go back there next spring!

On my very day, the husband handed me a beautiful big birthday card (with bucks of course. he he he!) with a meaningful and wonderful message, just what I want. :-) A happy birthday, indeed!

I love eating sea foods especially healthy tuna. It is either fresh from the ocean, canned or frozen is best for our health. As it has been said, tuna is pack with protein, omega-3, vitamin D, and selenium which plays an important role in our body. According to the research of scientific study, diet rich in fish that are high in omega-3 fatty acids, like canned tuna, can curb or prevent cognitive decline, dementia, depression, neuro-psychiatric disorders, asthma and inflammatory disorders. An issue between tuna and pregnant women questioned but scientific studies prove that tuna is safe to eat for pregnant women! It is even proven that pregnant women who always eat tuna boosts her child's brain. While it is true that pregnant women should stay-away see foods that have high-mercury (like shark, mackerel, swordfish, tilefish), it is actually SMART to eat seafood during pregnancy (following what your OB-GYN or doctor words about what fish to eat or not)!

For me, I prepare my healthy tuna food usually for sandwiches. My family (especially DH) likes it a lot and even always requests me of preparing him to bring to his work. Since I love pampering him and our tummy, I always do it. I also have come to search for another tuna recipe which I will have to prepare for my beloved in the next following days. I am chasing and been reading a Caribbean-Style Albacore recipe which I plan to cook. I find it good for us because we are into diet.

I can't wait to chase for tuna this coming days to cook this recipe. Ciao...

Folks who love plants can create their own garden where they get to take care of their favorite plants and flowers. They can even choose to have them landscaped the way they want to. They can either do them on their own or hire a professional company to do the landscaping. It can be designed according to their preference. If they want to have a more tropical look and feel, they can have bamboo fencing in marking the boundaries of their lawn. Bamboo is known to be very sturdy and they will last for a very long time. The homeowners must know how to maintain them so that they wouldn’t deteriorate. They can even choose to have outdoor furniture such as a lounge chair that is made of bamboo. They can just accessorize it with their favorite blanket or cushion. They can also put a bamboo sign in a particular area of the garden or lawn to add more character to it.

Most people, if it is possible to have one, like to have a spacious garden or lawn. A small
family celebration can be held outdoors if they are tired of the usual dinner inside their home. They can also invite a few neighbors for a barbeque or a picnic on certain occasions. They can also hold a special play date where neighborhood kids get to play together during a particular weekend.

In our shopping journey, we like to have coupon codes to lessen the burden of the price, don't we? Alright, most of us like such. Why not if we can save of a couple of bucks if using it, right?

Now that a first "ber" month just began, we then look forward to Christmas. Oops, before that there's still Halloween then Thanksgiving Day. Speaking of Halloween Event, folks tend to shop early for the costumes so in time that it is already near, they are already ready for the fun which they won't going to have an impulse or emergency buying and trying to beat the crowd. Even this time, Halloween Promo Codes are already out so folks could maximize it. What a day to start or planning shopping for Halloween costumes, eh? What is your wardrobe preference for you and your kiddos? There are many who prefer to shop online because they can save time and effort as well as money too, since Online Coupons are also available for them to use. For me, I will just wait for a couple of weeks to do that because my princess is yet to come. I want to see her first and take time to choose of her Halloween costume. :-) For sure, I would love to use the Promom Codes. I love being savvy!

Am still in my planning steps for the Halloween thing and looking forward to the good deals I could get. Free Shipping and Coupons, are just two of what is on my mind right now to which I believe I can save for such. Good luck to me on my shopping and planning journey that won't give my pocket a headache (or is there any term like this? Just imagine it *wink*), ha ha!

(Post contributed by Hilton Miranda)

Moving is always a total money suck but when we had to move the whole family from the east coast to California I thought we’d never get out of the hole. Unfortunately my husband’s new job wasn’t going to be paying for the move so everything from the moving truck to the movers had to be paid for by us. It took 6 days to drive out there, too, with all the kids and cars and such and boy were we too exhausted to do any unpacking when we got there. I concentrated on administrative stuff like calling the security company to come out and going to, and my husband had to work on the AV side. He spent hours putting up our TVs and stereos and we didn’t even have the couch set up to sit and watch it on! Anyway, now it’s three months later and I finally think we’ve paid off all the moving expenses and we’re very nearly moved all the way in. It was a trying time for our family!

The sun is still bright and up and its not too late to plan a last minute summer getaway before digits starts to drop again in a few months. Now some families have decided to put this plan aside due to recent economic crisis. But if you are a smart planner and you know what and where to look, you’ll be surprised to find out that there are activities that you and your family could enjoy without breaking your budget.

The first thing to consider when planning for a family vacation is the interests of each family member. It will be better to visit a place where facilities are provided for a number of activities, that way everyone can surely have a good time. Popular choices for family activities are hiking, camping and fishing.

Of course location is also another thing. If you want to save on gas, you might want to consider destinations that are within your area to save you from the long drive. Do a little research of top family destinations in your city and if you haven’t been to these places, you might want to consider them for this trip. Another way to save is to take public transportation such as buses.

Think of the experience that you want your kids to learn from this trip. This is the most important factor that you should consider whenever you are planning a family holiday.

Whilst I know the importance of hot spring to a weak body, the bath salts come to let me know its importance as well. Okay, I have seen, heard about the latter but never in my life I use them but just putting salt on the  water when being hit by rain showers (my folks belief) so a person won't catch cold. Would you also believe what my folks said? Whatever it is, I do it most of the time. :-) Now when it comes to bath salts of legend, I just knew about the himalayan bath salts and got excited about its uses to which it has more than function and benefits to a person's body compared to  dead sea salt which it has been said it heals the body and relax the nervous system through its mineral salt. Curiosity speaks to steps on knowing such imagining its uses. Just by that dead sea salt uses already makes sense plus it offers more of such! I better check it out more for myself and my family's health journey.

Rice is the staple food in the Philippines and some other countries but never in USA and other countries too. I am proud to say my Dear Husband eats rice even if he was born here in USA. Thanks goodness. :-) Whenever I cooked rice, he also ate. I am proud of him of not being picky when it comes to it (though he still won't a eat a lot of vegetables unless it is salad or potato). And we can eat together with rice unto our meals. Lately, he can also cook rice in stove well (I said in stove because we also have rice cooker and also rice can be cooked in microwave). Yep, he asked how to do it and then I replied. It is easy though. He prefers fresh rice (what I meant fresh is when it is freshly cooked not refrigerated from previous meal/s difference) unlike me that it's okay if it is already refrigerated, heat it up when I want to eat/.

Yes, I am the one responsible for household chores and (of course) I used to do it (and until now for myself if he's not at home or I need it). But then since am now pregnant and doing chores (but if am free, I am the one doing the thing, of course), aside from he is practicing to cook for himself if we have the baby already, then that's what he currently did. Am happy about it, we share responsibilities. Thanks goodness I have a husband like him. :-) He cannot cook viands a lot (mostly he just heat it up or the easy way other than buying ready-to-eat ones) but that is fine with me because as I said there are lots of fresh foods-to-go from restaurants/food chains here. Well, am just a happy wife though maybe that's just too small for you. :-) Whatever! :-) Diary, keep it in memory. :-)

If you will be having a journey away this weekend for your much-awaited summer vacation, and will be gone for a while to explore the beach or embark on that 3-day mountain climb you have been dreaming to take for a few months now, that is good news. You will going to bond with your family or friends. That would be a lot of fun. But just before you go, it is best to check out those pool covers for your pool property so you will have a durable yet affordable protection for your pool whilst you are away. When we have a pool, that is one of the steps you want to do before you go. Tell me about it! You do not want the pool covered in muck or dirt, or fallen dried leaves, or worse tiny pesky insects, when you got back from your vacation, right?

I can imagine what you think right now. Of course, the fun moments! I wish I could join with you folks! *wink* The important is you are having fun at the same time not worrying on something in your home and the stuffs left. You can then guarantee it is safe from something (after making sure all are under control)!

July 21, 2011

Our home is the most important place among any other places. It is where we have to bond our family and even friends. What more can we think of having it comfortable, safe and have a great atmosphere we like to live with. We might want it develop from time to time. One step of developing such is to change from carpeted floor to tile and even plain tile to mosaic tile ones. Yeah, you maybe thinking that as of now. Well, there are many different varieties of mosaic tiles to choose from anyway. Just do not be confused to choose. *smile* One of those varieties is glass mosaic tile which for me is beautiful and great to put in any part of the house. In this journey of changing it, we may like to have a bulk or just one variety for all the floors in kitchen, living room, bathroom or even in the bedrooms. It is great to step-on what we really like to, right? What I like with glass tiles is easy to clean and elegant to look at.

And what about the walls, should we have to match it with the glass mosaic tiles on the floors that we already choose (if that's what we choose)? It might be great too. When we have glass mosaic tiles, it is also great to pair the walls with mosaic wall tile as well to incorporate it with others and looking uncrowded. Then we have a great home ambiance that our family love. :-) What do you think?

Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), License Vocational Nurse (LVN), License Practical Nurse (LPN), a nurse, and other alike both wear scrubs. But mostly the nurse wears white but then some others I mentioned too. And what about others? Yes, they wear different color, pattern and even style. It maybe flowery or plain at the top like what you can see in Marcus scrub tops. There are many choices when it comes to the tops and it is awesome. I think there is color coding for some employees during their duty days but most don't have. As long as they wear scrubs, and that's it! Well okay, it is also great in color uniform, even its style and printed won't coincide with one another. That's been great. By the way, kudos to the folks who works in what I  mentioned! Scrubs, scrubs, scrubs!

DH plan to have a motorcycle when we will be in the Philippines, one for him which I can hop-in and other small one for me alone, but then the plan change and it will only be one motorcycle and another one which can accommodate us with the baby. Tiny little baby cannot ride on motorcycle so that's the second plan, get something bigger and have a place for our little one. The next thing I imagine is having a map which is a must so we won't be asking anyone the place we would like to go. But oops, the typical paper map is already obsolete. We might better get a motorcycle gps garmin compared to the map thing. It's better that way, an accurate one. Much more here in USA. Technology jumps up fast huh! From gps in car down now to motorcycles, just good for motorcycle. I know any gps could do but it's great if it's intended and made for such kind of vehicle, isn't it? What do you think? Ah, I could now imagine the fun under the sun. Hopping from one place to another without any thought of being misguided. :-)

June 27, 2011

We are already on our fourth day of staying here in our new apartment abode. I love this place. The paint is light and the carpet too. :-) The important point is we are in the ground floor section to which advantage for a pregnant or mom-to-be like me. I don't have to go up and down just to go to the laundry room or just to throw trash and get mail. :-) DH and I were so busy on our final moving from Friday up to Sunday. The transferring and arranging up to cleaning. I was the one who arranges stuffs. It wasn't stressful for me because I am loving it. I confess I was a bit tired but not stressed. I lift some stuffs to which I just sneaked-in since DH won't allow me to do it. If I waited of his presence (which I can do it by myself) to do it, it would take week or maybe weeks to do it because he had also important stuffs to attend to. And I did it! Now, it is more arranged when you come unto our new abode. :-) Only some minor stuffs like taking the other bed off from our living room which was from our old second bedroom before, Salvation Army will pick this up but have to wait four days from now. Ah, I can't wait to dispose this thing off. During the journey of final moving step of transferring our stuffs, I was not able to cook foods. We just order and eat then rest a while and did again. Finally, I could have more rest now. :-) Not yet to cook foods but maybe this weekend or next week because I still have stuffs to do like address transfers, both online and offline then pregnancy stuffs as well. Good thing is I am not running with the time no more. I don't like seeing crowded boxes in our abode that's why. Thanks goodness I and my baby inside my tummy is perfectly fine. :-) Hooray! :-)

June 17, 2011

Occasion sessions. Okay, you might don't know what to give to your love-one but for sure girls do love flowers. Mothers does, girlfriend, sisters or even you like to have flowers. I just remember when my  husband suggested me to give flower to my friend's daughter during her christening and from then on, fresh bouquet of flowers is always present during special occasions to give to my girlfriends (or family circle) along with a card. For sure I/you would love to have flower coupon codes during these moments. It does help when you like to save (of course we all love to save, aren't you?) you know. We can even buy something more if we have coupon. And that would make more fun, isn't it? Ah, precious family and friends deserve of such wonderful present!

May 17, 2011

For sure there would be a lot of thoughts, I mean activities you have on your mind this coming summer. Well, spring time cleaning could also be a family and friends soccer game time, isn't it? After spring cleaning, that is. If there would be a lot of time still, then it still a part of spring season for such activity, why not!? As long as soccer socks and suits along with the players (whom are your family and friends, this is for fun, right?) are in, then the fun game is getting it on! Such company of players are surely fun-to-be-with. It might not be professional all, but the goal is game fun, so have fun! ;-) Happy playing! Happy Spring Cleaning and advance Happy Summer!

Do you think only goods can be manufactured? Can you imagine there is also homes that are manufactured? I am new to this because I was born in a country where there is no term like this. Yes, nothing there in my birth country. But because this is United States of America, everything is possible. Believe it or not, there are different types of homes. There are also different kinds and different homes. Just like manufactured homes. Yes, you read it right, houses are manufactured and buyers or families will just see the catalog of what type of house they like and then let the company bring it to the place where a person would like to put it. Yep, it is carried by vehicle from the store to the person's place and then he/she/they have already a home with just a day or an hours. Cool, isn't it?

May 06, 2011

My birthday went fine. I thought I would just go to church to lit-up candles but went with some friends afterwards with no plan, okay, a minute plan and then just went. Thanks goodness my friends were able to be with me, they are free and were able to go as a minute-plan went. Ooh well. Thanks to Heaven Above for providing me with them. My DH was able to met them too though he didn't ate anymore as he was just from his office (we ate just few meters at the back of the buildings where my DH works) and was a mood to eat dinner few hours afterwards and it's fine as long as we met-up with friends. :-) Just as planned, I went to church but the church which is near at my friends house as well as the buffet resto where we had our small pig-out. Hehe! Te Claudine gave me awesome perfume and birthday card, Au ordered a delicious personalized mango cake from Red Ribbon with live fresh flower pink tulips in a pot and a birthday card and Dorie and Au managed to bring their kids and Au's husband, Cesar, was able to attend too in my birthday get-together. Their presence are precious and I treasure it (of course not only that day but throughout the whole me)! I am just a simple person and their presence are highly appreciated.

Above left was my yummy birthday cake (courtesy of my friend Au and Cesar), then picture-taking on the right.
Above were birthday stuffs. Thnx my precious friends & DH. Below were taken inside the Golden Coast Buffet where we had our pigging-out. Hehe! Thanks much guys!
DH gave me a bouquet of fresh flowers with gift cash (thanks DH, luv u!) for me to buy what I want and I really did. :-) And my friend Analou gave me something for my few jewelry to hang-on, it's a woman-figured. I guess you know how it looked-like. I will show it to you next post as it was in my other camera. Thanks for all your birthday wishes, etc! To all who greeted me here in my blog(s), Facebook, sent me messages, texted and called. Thanks much guys (you know who you are)! I won't forget your kindness and such. Above all, thanks Lord God for giving me another precious age. Am 25forever! ;-) Thanks God for my precious family and friends. ~hugs&kisses~

I don't have any but it's good to dream of having one, you know. *wink* At least in my dreams, I own one. Hee hee! Do you have an RV? Or any five-wheels vehicle? Many folks make it as their home and it's not bad. It is great to have it at the same time we have a house. Ooh well, it is a luxury vehicle for me. But if ever I have one, I would like to have a 5th wheel insurance for it. At least then, I can travel with peace of mind knowing if something's happen (like accidents or alike), me and my family is protected unless having nothing. Since one of  USA's law of driving is insurance, for sure one should have get it on or before having one. What about you, do you have an RV? Or have you ride on a RV? How do you like to have one?
