My food trip for today is a red velvet birthday cake which happened to be my cake days ago. Well, it was my special day as what most of you know because I was transparent enough and even had my surprised birthday gifts which I was thankful enough to those deary blogger friends of mine. It was such an awesome feeling. ;-)

red velvet birthday cake

Above is what was it. DH gave me money to bought the cake that I want and some stuffs for my birthday. Actually, she asked me what I wanted as a gift but I just said "just give me money and I will be the one to buy it for myself"... ;-) Anyway, that's another story or another portion of what he gave, yep, the cake.. lol..

Maybe, you're astonished if an above cake was another birthday cake of mine, and maybe too that you will just see it as there's just something added. And the latter is correct. When you see there are ribbons over the white decors, that's by the way its original decoration with that ribbons but I took the ribbons because seemed like it's already crowded so the first picture was the result, don't you think so? ;-) I was chasing for the small cake and has a nice decors but I opted for this big one though its decoration was not that cool enough because its my first time to get a whole big velvet cake.. Ha!

a slice of a red velvet birthday cake

Whatever it was, let's have a slice of such! Would you want one? Oops, I forgot DH consumed the last slice yesterday (the expiration date is May 26)... sorry... better luck next velvet cake, okay? ;-) Have a great yummy Food Trip Friday folks! Smile... :)

You just can't go wrong without thinking that somebody would surprise me on my birthday. I didn't really expect of it because I wasn't even yet give back to what she gave me last valentines day and now she sent me birthday gifts again. How was that? Won't you be surprised especially if her gifts are all gorgeous? Yep, I bet you it's pretty all awesome in person... I so love it that much that I can't help but so grateful of this blogger friend of mine, so grateful of her presence. Though we haven't yet meet in person but seems we were friends since back then... Ooh well.. it was just one year ago and in just one instance we're already clicked with each other. Do you know the feeling of friendship being "click" with each other? If you know, you can then tell how it is. Yep, it is not that easy to find a friend that you can be with each other, online that is, but you have that such friendship bond that more than an in person ones. Ooh well, she(Demcy)'s full of generosity, thoughtfulness and kindness. I appreciate it that much! Here's what she gave me.
a beautiful cute lavender(my fave color) and blue(color of the year) blouse

Above is another pretty cute lavender racer back shirt, look at the print (Friends fun and peace sign, this coincides with my jersey lavender jersey shorts --- great for hot summer)! Isn't it that pretty? Yes, it is! ;-) It's prettier in person, really it is.

Two pretty "TooFaced" glamorous lip glosses, lavender cute hooked earrings (which I wear until now, my ears are that choosy but this earrings suits its choosiness that's why it's my fave casual hook stone earrings plus it's gorgeous lavender color --- she got my weakness when it comes to pretty lavender ;-) Thanks a lot madam sis Dhemz!

And her beautiful lovely birthday card and a wonderful sweet message

I know words are not enough to express my gratefulness and no beyond expression I can tell but you know how lucky I am to have a friend like you. I know you are great but I have to say you are awesomely best. I really appreciate your kindness and such ({I hope to keep up on your birthday... ;-). I know that if you give, you don't expect in return but I will try my best to keep up on your special day, bday on August}. Thanks a lot! You are awesomely best! God bless you more and as always... Lab yah.. :-) ~hugs&kisses~

It seems like there are many moms and fat women are just too busy nowadays. Some couldn't afford to maintain and watch their food intake (I include myself into this level) especially if sometimes foods are just too near and are too visible in our eyes that we ended up eating it anytime we want and every time we like to. Hem-mm... it's just that sometimes also it comfort us! Ha! You bet... sometimes when am sad, I feel hungry at the same time compared to not. Hem-mm.. is it just coincidence or is it really is? I am just lucky that I still can control myself because I think I grew up with just a minimal food. Ha ha! ;-) And seems like getting into quick weight loss is an "in" thing nowadays. As to my side, as long as one think about it many, many times {its great if millions :-) } before getting into conclusion, then I am with her/him. Really it is great to have a personal research about such in order that no regrets will happen because if you do, then that such a great emotional loss instead of weight loss. Ha ha! Aw.. seriously, it's not bad to get involve with technology and such as long as you are responsible enough of your own action. Personally, technology and alike will help you get better if you use it responsibly, don't you think?

I could say, it is not bad to consider to buy diet pills that is safe, effective and guaranteed great result to your body. I haven't been into diet pills but there are many who got into this and says as long as you continue to have it, maintain and follow its precautions, you are likely to get slimmed and healthy at the same time. Let's not forget that being obese could cause a lot of health problems and apparently, it endangers us. That is why folks or we are striving hard not to be overweight. Let us not also forget that we should not take a chance especially that our health is our basic foundation in our life's journey, who want anyway to get sick? Nope, not I and certainly not you too! It's just a matter of discipline and determination. If you are behind or over with it, you then have to suffer with the consequences, just take it easy and be sharp as always! Keep going... I hope you all the best and great journey in life...

May 10, 2010

:-( Aw.. not so.. ;-) It was just that I wasn't able to do my plan to update what I want to update. The thing is it was ruined of my poor stomach behavior (for the negative sides) and the laze part as my internet thing went up to the maximum drama... ah ha hah! Yep, just in time that I wanted to do it, for some reason either my stomach cramp or had gastroenterology, or either my internet connection is down.. it won't cooperate as in, the obstacles of my blogging journey won't get rid of me that time... Ooh ha! I seriously wanted to do it way-back two days from my birthday (it was Wed is my birthday, so supposedly I should have did it by Friday or Saturday or Sunday! Ha ha! But nope, as I said obstacles won't get rid of me. Aside from house stuffs and family matters bonding and such (both here and Phils through chat and calls), I was out of time. Ooh well, did I rant my blues? And now you understand (if you like to)... ;-) *winkz*... Alright, that's my weekend with blues of my blogging journey but on my family/close family circle and friends moment, it was so very happy... as in all smiles... :-) How was yours, folks? I bet you had a great one! Whatever it is, if not, we still have to be happy (since sadness won't last)! ;-) ~hugs&kisses~

May 03, 2010

It was actually last April 27th brunch time as I was still having my sleep or nap at our couch when somebody knocking at our door then found out that it was a mailman from USPS. I fixed myself and entertained the man, and then minutes after he handed me a medium-big box with my name sticking unto it. I had no clue that Analou and her hubby will give me such present because she told me days ago that she will give me other item but not this. Ooh well, it was then my wordless day. Ha! I was excited to open it and I was more wordless that an elegant lavender gift wrap was in front of me. Lavender is my favorite color and she just knew how I love it that much. Thanks a lot best bud.. ;-)

And then I opened it more excited ;-)... then a box of a cute expandable jewelry box which she said (which I never knew she pursued to bought it online) was my first advance birthday gift. I was laughing and smiled grinning from left to right... lol.. kidding aside but am serious.. I was just so happy because she gave me such before I thought I will buy something like this for my fashion /costume ones.

an image from my camera which the quality is low because of too much light

the actual color from seller's site

It is so pretty and beautiful for on-the-go or just in the house stuff for jewelry. This is perfect for on-the-go for me. I so love it! Below is a pretty cute note along my very first gift. :)

I love it best bud! Thanks a lot to you and to your husband Dennis. So long (and I awe you on your birthday this June)... ;-) wait for such.. :) That's what friends are for! {watch-out for mine.. *winkz*} ~hugs&kisses~

Monday, ooh Monday... here you are! It's time for blue color hunting folks. Time indeed flies so fast as if we will not chase upon it. And now, it's Monday! My entry is crystal clear blue sky with a dash of beautiful white clouds on it. It is just a sign that the weather we had the following days (and onwards ;-) is still as this. I couldn't be happier for it. No much so worried about nature problems and such. God is great!

blue color sky

I got tempted with my phone to catch this beautiful blue color sky with a dash of white clouds which looks like cottons up above in the apartment complex where DH and I stayed. It's beautiful so I again, I can't resist out of it. ;-)

moi haggard look with blue trash can, dash of blue in my red shirt and bubbles ;-)

Yep, it's me on my haggard look. I just woke that time, then went out straight unto facing up in front of my PC doing some checking and at the same time doing my art thing (you can see it at my art above.. ha ha ha! ;-)

Happy blue color hunting Monday! For more Blue Monday, head on to Smiling Sally blog. Have fun hunting.. ;-)

Have you ever encounter a joint pain in your life? I mean, most folks said that joint pain are just for oldies, even my folks told me that am not entitled for joint paint because I am still young but that is really the reason? Does young ones won't experience joint pains? Well, sometimes as of my current age (above 28 yrs old), sometimes I could feel it especially if am too much of sitting position. Am thinking of joint pain supplements as its solution. It doesn't affect me that much because it only occurs sometimes but hoping (with a thorough understanding) that it would help but yeah, sensitive oldies who have health problem like this, a solution is a must in their journey.

April 30, 2010

Sensitive individuals especially to those who have difficulty of carrying their steps in journeying to a sensitive places like going to a bathtub in order to do one's thing, for me, it is great to have a walk in bathtubs like below. I myself, sometimes has a difficulty of standing in our bathtub for it seems I gonna slid out of it especially when its "soapy" time. Soap adds the slide, so I have to be careful all the time.

And the time that I seen it, I uttered to myself of how I wish I could have such. ;-) Okay, am just dreaming or perhaps it's not that essential for me because I still have a lot of strength to hold on my body weight so I will not slide but still it's great to desire some stuffs.. you know.. ;-)

National Basketball Association Playoffs for this year already began. Unfortunately your truly was not able to watch it every time there is a game especially when there is an schedule for Los Angeles Lakers game. Yep, I am a biggest Lakers fan! Woohoo! ;-) Last year, I had a blast because whatever time Lakers play (for playoff) and whatever its opponent was, I watched it. I chased diligently the time and apparently, I was already sitting in front of our television so I watched the whole game.. (LOL).. yep, perhaps some would say that is too much but nope, I heart it fully and I enjoyed it much. Ha! It even ruin my day if I cannot watched it even if Lakers lost the game. With it, I was able to familiarize the great ones in NBA and even knew its name. If you followed and read my posts before, you will be able to know why I love watching basketball since I was elementary. Ha! Yep, that is true.

One match-up with LAL that I watched was its playoff against Oklahoma City Thunders. It's shame to myself that I just watched its playoffs started from game four (4) and game five (5) which the latter was last night. I am thankful my DH told me that Lakers play such time. It was in my mind that LAL versus OKC will play yesterday but I though it was afternoon but alas, it was six-thirty at night until ten o'clock. I watched it the whole game with my laptop on and in front of me doing the thing. Haha! ;-) I was able to do it as serving two kings at the same time.. heheh... ooh no, I can only seriously do my thing at PC when it was time-out and yes, I was happy doing it. ;-) The overall score now on each other playoff game was 3-2, in favor of Los Angeles Lakers.. woohoo! It was really a fun game and I am looking forward of its game six (6) of who will win, will it be Lakers still? Will LAL defend its home court? Hemmm.. that is what to find out for game 6 and if the two teams will still have game seven (7). Its final score by the way last night (game 5) was 111-87. If you are in my shoes, doesn't it that great? I am looking forward for the rest of the teams for this year playoff.. woohoo! That would be fun!

By the way, may I ask if what's your beat what team will win as champion NBA 2010? Which one is your team?

With today's living, there are many folks who are already working at-home and earns just like folks who are working outside or in a traditional office and some even earns more than. Well, I can never tell that working at-home is the best but I cannot also tell that it is worst because it depends upon what work one is having. I am not one of those folks but I am a bit earning as well, but just a little. Ooh well, I can never complain because I am a just a plain housewife who's work is to take care of my husband and our home. :-) To those who are earning well and have their work as just like an employee who works in a traditional office, having their office furniture is a must (if you want your work to have a serious workplace), after all it is one of their expenses of their business or the business of their boss, it can be just enough of what they can afford or depends upon what business they have. Office furniture like below is such cute when you have a good space in your house and a fix place, with that you would not need to worry for transfer seeing that it weighs a large of pounds. Yeah, it is pretty.

wooden office furniture (photo courtesy of an office furniture website)

What do you think? Is it cool or what.. :-) It is also great for just an study table or really, cool for a work-at-home job in your own house. A simple cute computer movable computer table below catches my eyes too.

computer table

This cute computer table is good because it is easy to move everywhere you want to put as in the case that you like to have a different shape of an area you are in. A person who likes to change its workplace is great to have this. Well, this kind of stuff is what I like before and what DH likes for me too but since I can't find like this, I was tempted to bought what I have right now. The problem is when we will move to other place, it is hard to bring this on unless it is just so close. It is kind of heavy. :-( Though I like what I have now but the cons seem like over the one above. Ooh well, I love my computer table now (this has a sentimental value), I hope I can bring this wherever we will transfer soon. :-( So then, good luck to me.. :-)

Mine, was a bit of low. I mean just normal but a lazy weekend. LOL... Ooh well, that is why weekend is a fave of mine.. he he he!.. I can be lazed as I want to. Ooh yeah, I was not able to finish my task. :-( Okay, during weekend hubby is in the house at that time and with that, I am not alone just like weekdays that he is at work. Thought I got used with it but it is still different. Also, hubby likes to spoiled me sometimes and so does me likes to spoiled him to the sense that he orders me an outside foods and I can cook him his fave breakfast foods and some other snacks and heavy meals, yeah I do that on weekdays but not much especially breakfast. DH does not eat breakfast when he is going to work unlike weekend. I am having a great weekend in a slow-pace mode. The thing was I haven't went to church yesterday because I forgot it. Ooh God, please forgive me. It was on my mind but I just remembered it in the neck of time. I was busy, ooh well it is not an excuse, I know. That is why there was really keep on hunting my mind but it cannot came out. That is why because of going to it. Ooh well, promise --- the next Sunday which is this Sunday coming I will really be prepared of it --- rain or shine. :-) Promise to the Heavenly God. Diary, keep it in memory.

What about you, how was your weekend?

grilled chicken salad and ice cream malt

You may be a little crack of this food long name, the salad by the way is named "Cranberry, Apple Walnut Grilled Chicken Salad" and the drink at its side in an image is called "Banana Chocolate Chip Hand-scooped Ice Cream Malt". Have you been gasping your breathe reading such a foodie name? LOL.. yep, it is quite long but I don't know why Carl's Jr. fast food chain make it that long. Hmmmm.. but on the other hand, it is yummy as can be.. heheheh.. I am not that fond of eating fresh salad, actually I do not eat fresh salad. What it got on my eyes because it has grilled chicken on it. :-) By the way, the salad consists of fresh spinach, grilled chicken, cheese, onion and an area of bacon that looks like a corned beef to me but to my surprise, it is bacon. Eeeee... :( Then the salad comes with raspberry vinaigrette, glazed walnuts in a pack and a dried cranberries. I eat all of the salad's stuffs excluding fresh spinach and the bacon. It just that my taste didn't go with the bacon and unfortunately with the green fresh vegetable. I won't close my taste bud of fresh salads especially that pizza is now one of my favorite food. To tell, I really2x don't like to eat pizza before, even its smell makes me awe. :( But it became now as one of my fave. :) And ola! I so like the drink. It has a thin strips of black chocolate and others to which I enumerated above. :-) That's my food after went from my doctor last week - check up of my reddish pink small round stuff on my right cheek. DH and I got some food through drive-thru and because such food chain don't have heavy meal, I just get such or else I will be forced to eat burger and fries (I don't like its french fries by the way, sorry to say). That's it, this is my food trip of this day for Food Trip Friday!

Have a great foodie day trip folks! Enjoy... ;-)

April 14, 2010

My kitchen journey is on. :-) Foodies, come on.. :) Pandesal is a common Filipino bread which most of folks in Philippines knows this kind of carbohydrates family. Yeah, you know that bread is a family of carbohydrates, right? :-) Some called this as a "Philippine national bread" but there is no really a formal known as it is, it is just what most folks said. This is great for breakfast paired with a hot chocolate or coffee or in between. This is not common in the place where I am now but I can get it in nearby city to which if I buy, I have to get two big bags.. lol.. ooh well, it's just once in a blue moon you know.. hehehe.. kidding aside but seriously, I put the other bag in a at the top of the freezer so it will go in icy and it is fresh good for how many weeks as long as it is in freeze and the other one I put it at below on normal cold. I just missed this bread a lot (but only second to pan-de-che, for me). :-) Anyway, to those of you who taste this bread, what do you think it's taste? Did you like it? Do you miss it sometimes if not in your locality?

pandesal

One more thing, I got curious of a coconut jam to which it is my first time to see it in a glass jar below. I thought it is "calamay" in a glass. It is in my thought that if manufacturer put it in a coconut bagol. If you know "calamay", do you think so? I haven't eaten it yet. I just put it in refrigerator and it got me puzzled if it really is. Well, I leave that to you folks if it really is. Ooh well, perhaps you said that what's the taste of it. Hemmm.. I will have to taste this as soon as my taste bud would allow me to. Really, I will. Whatever it is, since I know it is not poisonous (lol), I will taste it. Since I already eat a lot of jam like mango jam, strawberry jam, guava, etc --- I will not afraid to taste it. :-) I have to compare if it really is the same as in "calamay sa Bohol". I hope it taste as like it. :-)

coco jam (as in coconut jam)

Its price by the way is same as to nutella spread of about the same size. I wonder how it tastes since it is pricey. :-) If you know and taste like an image above, would you like to share how coco jam tastes? How do you like it? Ooh well, am hungry now, I will eat heavy meal first then will eat that for snacks later with lemonade. :) Let's eat..

April 12, 2010

stir-fried okra

This is one food which my grandfather, I called "Papa Pesyong" legacy to my taste. :) He introduced me to this vegetable the time when he has his okra garden. I was in my elementary years that time and I even helped him with my step grandmother in his little plantation and we then brought our foods in his little nipa hut then had our snacks and meal. I remember when it was snacks time, we bought "bibingka" big brown rice cakes in a neighbor who sells very yummy one. With it and with my grandparents, I learned how to eat this vegetables and until now it is one of my fave one. :) I missed my grandparents so much. They are the one who raised me but sad to say they are now in God's hands. Well, I guess they are happy watching me now. I love them so much! Anyway, so much about my reminiscing. :) Am a vegetables lover and am proud of that. :) My DH is a meat-lover and sometimes I do like to eat with a lot of meat too. Let's just then toss to this stir-fried okra I have. I mixed it with beef bouillon and spices like tomato, bell pepper, onion, garlic and an olive oil with soy sauce and a little water. It is great to pair with rice and pink lemonade. Have fun eating.. :)

One thing also am excited about Monday is having a blue Monday hunting of blue stuffs.. Though it is a bit of work to spot the blue ones but it is fun to do, so am participating! :) Well, as I said am not that so fond of color blue but I cannot also deny that there is something in it that makes me feel great, I mean look at that blue bird don't you not like to chase with it? With its beautiful color blue, you will be enticed to look at it even just a minute. :) Wow.. the feeling is not blue but rather a happy and gay! :) Today, I just spotted a blue small plastic on the table containing my hair clips besides my computer. Aside from my hair ties (which is in another plastic) and hair stuffs in the bedroom, I also have this on my PC table so anytime I want to get a clip or anything it is just within reach.

blue plastic containing my hair clips

I also have this blue bowl and a blue cup below. This blue small bowl used to be a carrying holder of the bc pills I am taking in everyday and constantly put in our table and refrigerator so it is easy to spot on so I won't forget the pills am taking in.

small blue bowl and a blue cup

Would you also like to share color blue that you could spot on now? Tell us about it.. :) Happy Blue Monday! Head on to Blue Monday meme for more blue colors. Enjoy blue hunting...

This week am featuring a Christian song "Let it Rain" sung by Jon Bon Jovi (a rock star) and Luciano Pavarotti (a classical star) which the duo held during a concert of Pavarotti and his friends for Liberia (cause). Yeah, you might be wondering what Jon Bon Jovi did in his concert singing with him his classical tone musics. :) Wow! I so like Jon Bon Jovi as his music fan and he really blend well of singing this song with Pavarotti. You need to listen and watch the music video below so you can see how Jon Bon Jovi did it well should you like to do so. I promise, you (Christian and music believer) will be delighted with it. At first, I was like in "ooh".. lol.. but really it so touching and a very cool music and I am really sort of a shock Bon sung with him. :) Really, this made a great hit in YouTube and commenters said in great positive blending. Great! I also played it again and again (even playing until now). It's a soothing music for me. Here it is:

What do you think of having a life insurance for your family's future? We cannot deny that our life is just a temporary journey here in this world and time came (the right time) we will be in God's hands. Well, I myself if I have enough bucks, is in favor of getting a life insurance for me so my family won't a very difficult time when time came for me. Well, at least not financially. I love my family and hopefully they also love me? Wee.. Okay, kidding aside but seriously it is cool to have of myself for my family when time came for me. I guess life insurance rates are not that expensive? Well, I know if individual is interested, he/she will get to know the rates and stuffs like that. Everyone should just have to be always take an extra careful in health and all that stuffs, right? So then, I hope everyone is all well at its best and every things are great!

pork bokchoy soup

This Friday, my entry for Food Trip Friday is the one above, a pork bokchoy soup. This is my first time actually of eating bok-choy though the taste is just the same to "pechay". I can always see this vegetable (bokchoy) when am on the market though am not am not sure what is this and to think that its appearance is just similar to "pechay", I was ecstatic to taste of it (well, just only this week) though am so fond of eating "pechay" in my country home. It is just that there is a difference of its appearance and I can only sometimes get pork at the same time since DH is not that fond of pork (he likes beef more), so am just only the one who will eat pork more. Sometimes, I just go for beef instead of getting pork because the lazy in me strikes sometimes --- lazy to cook another recipe. :) So that is it, I was able to get a small bag of bok-choy and cook a soup out of it with a pork and a lot of spices I put on. I currently love to have a lot of bell peppers though I put also put ginger, tomato, a dash of salt and a little rings of onion. :) Soup is good at early in the morning by the way, though am a night owl person but I really manage to cook it at early, well, my stomach also longs for a hot foodie so I was pushed to cook it early. :) Then, I paired it with a little rice.

Have a fun food tripping this Friday folks.. Enjoy.. :-D

two inches high heeled

It was months already that am into buying a black pump shoes or a black close high heeled shoes for some formal occasion or going to church. It could also be use in time of interview moment, I mean an interview for a job (one day soon). So last week, the store that I am eye-ing of is having a sale and I saw this stuff, well, this pump shoes is not in-sale but nevertheless, I bought it. But at first, I really want that three inches or three and a half heeled but they don't have my size which is only seven. I tried it if it's okay to have an additional of a half but it can't so I just settled for this two inches. Ooh well, at least am a bit of comfortable because I have it already and at least am comfortable as if am just walking with my normal everyday shoes with in-sole stuff which is a flat shoes. But then still am chasing for the three inches or three and a half which I saw in an online store and it is on-sale (really the stuff is on-sale) and there is much inexpensive in our local store but a bit far. Ooh well, I want this one below.

Black Westies Barella of three and a half inches high heeled

Okay, am out there laugh out laughing of some sort because I can't have it for now, eh? Ooh yeah, I will just wait for the right time and a right budget.. heheheh.. :) Good luck for me.. aww... :)
