As I write this post I am as well watch basketball game of Los Angeles Lakers vs. Memphis Grizzlies at Channel 14 in Charter Cable tv from 6:30- 9 pm PST(Pacific Standard Time) of this day (Easter Sunday)live at Staples Center here in Los Angeles, so it's Lakers home court. So then, it's of 4th quarter now with the score of 74-60, in favor of LAL with the time of 8 minutes and 3 seconds to go to finish the game . I will then finish this post when the game will be finished.
So, how was your Easter Sunday folks? This day then, is the last day of Lenten Season and another church calendar cycle will begin tomorrow and another 40 days for the said Roman Catholic Church calendar which is also called the second cycle from 4 for the whole year. So then, where did you went lately and what had you done for this day? For me, I just at sit and sat at my computer , talk to my friend at the phone, cook adobong kangkong with rice to finish for the dinner. Then pizza for snacks bought. Then, lately at 5:00 pm went to church heard mass. For the rest of the day, sleep, sleep, and sleep! (~_~) Did I say sleep? Yep! I couldn't imagine that week went fast and my Spring break from school finished already and tomorrow will be the beginning of the busy days then.. I love it though, I love learning at school! I guess all of us does love learning too, am I right? (~_~)
And now the basketball game already end, but before I reveal the score I just wanna share to you folks who are also basketball fanatic that NBA Playoffs will begin this April 18th. So, I will be then sharing you what gonna be happen then, if you're interested.. are you? Or I will share you the baseball I watched yesterday between Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona, or about hockey of Los Angeles Kings vs. California Sacramento? Ohhh before I forgot NCAA began already, last 2 weeks ago UCLA vs. USC Women's Basketball Category is awesome and dramatic to watched! It's some kind of controversy at the last minute of the game wherein UCLA shoot to make it tie but in the end it's not counted but before the decision there was minutes of decision-making and that's what makes it controversy. So now, before I tacked about football and soccer, I have to tell you now the final score of Lakers vs. Grizzlies - the score is 92-75 of in favor of Lakers. Wooohooo!!! Grizzlies did a job though, it's a heart-pounding at the 3rd quarter down to the 4th. So, lets talk some about soccer and football as well as the other sports next time which I enjoy to watch or worthy to watch folks, com' on share the sports in us!.. How about yours, do tell us about it folks... Anyway, have a HAPPY EASTER SUNDA

Yesterday was an awesome weekend for me. Hubby took me to Best Au's home as we had planned two days before Sunday for it's been three months already that we haven't seen personally, we just talked through phone, web cam, chat, and text. So then, all of the plans went good - the day had been good and awesome, it's with us. I woke up 8 am then was there at 9 and went to sea foods city(Filipino Market) to shop gourmet Filipino dishes and some. We had roasted pork(lechon), broiled bangus, dried fish, dried squid, deep fry big fish, buko salad, kutsinta, biko, suman, puto, puto-maya, cassava cake, and some! Name it and you can have it since the place is a Filipino community so, what you want you can have it! Wow! it's cool isn't it? plus bessy spoiled me, that makes my weekend so great! So then, after the eating, shopping, and preparing we then proceeded to the sing-along (karaoke) which one of my hobby - music keeps me alive! (~_~) We're having lots of fun, jive, and dance! So, we sang and sang until it's time to see the fantastic and amazing view Au said to me. She brought me to Palm Pacific which is a very wide golf course which is the best in LA and yep I find it an amazing place where actresses and actors as well as some famous people went there especially if there's an event. So then, I will share with you the pictures I have with that awesome week I had guys. Here it is, and tell me afterwards of how do you like it or not huh? (~_~) :

Mostly, during weekend especially Sunday I do cook my favorite dishes or anything that is rare food(just uncommon not exotic huh?) on weekdays but today, I don't feel like cooking it today. Am not feeling well that's why. So what I did is just did a little cleaning like wiping some dust in the window and the furniture, and so with the throwing of garbage. And that's all! heheh. I didn't even wash clothes and vacuuming neither went to church. huhuhu. Sorry Lord God- am really not feeling well- promise I will go to the church next week, rain or shine. So then, hubby woke me up at 8:30 am to let me fixed myself to go shopping for the gift for the on-coming birthday of my niece as well as my god daughter. I told him the other day that I have to go shopping for her this weekend so I can mail it on Monday(tomorrow) before I go to school. So, the plan went good. And I have now my gifts for her- already done for mail tomorrow. I know she will love this because this is from her wishlist. I just hope she will receive this package on or before her birthday which is on this coming 13th of this month. Anyway, it's just in Tennessee so I guess it will arrive at time. Some kind of busy too, with that, we just ordered a burgers and some soda for our meal going home lately. We just picked it up. It's just sad to say that hubby don't ordered my burger correctly- instead of cheese hamburger for me, he ordered only hamburger that I don't like 'coz of the salad inside in it- am just glad there's no mustard which I hated most. It turned out to be good then until at home that I just ate 1/3 of it. Whew! I can't really swallow it- am sorry. It seems no good to throw foods but I just did it. But I don't let my husband knew. Don't tell him.. heheh. Ohhh poor hamburger. This food will be my next hunt to learn how to love it. So, instead of hamburger, I just cooked rice and broiled dried fish and yummm!

Today is Sunday- A Catholic Lord's Day. This should supposed to be a relaxation day but opposite for me for am so very busy doing cooking, laundry, cleaning, e-social networking, and updating my blog! Well, it is because I don't have time for all of these tomorrow 'coz I will have to go to school- it's fulfilling though- that I have the courage to do all the stuff and be busy. Lately, I cooked ampalaya vegetable with eggs and salted shrimps fry. And also a kangkong (which we bought at the Asian market 2 days ago-Friday) soup with pork meat. Am glad my husband likes what I cook- usually he don't like vegetables- it's just seldom he eat when I cook vegetables unless it is lettuce for salad, spinach for shrimp soup, and potato for estofado. Anyway, the following pictures(fresh from my stove) is what I took from my missed and two of my favorite vegetables that i used to eat way back when I was still in the Philippines. Am just glad that I can still eat it here thinking that this is another country of different foods, culture, and lifestyle. My husband told me that I should have to learn eating American Foods and for that, am learning the taste of it now. Still, I miss what has been into my mouth before.. heheheh.. Am really glad that I can't miss that much knowing that there's still in here (imported already from Asian Countries and Philippines is one which it came from). Am really glad thanks God. (~_~)

Well, for those who wanna know how I cooked it, here's the recipe:

Ampalaya w/ Eggs and Salted Shrimps Fry:

Ingredients:
*2 pcs. bitter melon (ampalaya)
*cooking oil (if possible use olive)
*2 pcs. garlic and 1/4 small onion
*2 eggs
*2 tablespoon salted shrimp fry(from bottle)

Procedure:
*Slice the onion and flatten the garlic(or slice) and set aside.
*Slice the ampalaya, and squeeze get rid of its bitterness.
*Saute onion and garlic in cooking oil, and place the ampalaya when it's brown already. Wait until half cook- about five(5) minutes then put the eggs and salted shrimp fry. Simmer for two(2) minutes and done! Serve hot and eat with rice. Drinks too of course to avoid choking.. heheheh.. (~_~)

For the Pork Kangkong Soup, here it is:

Ingredients:
*half(1/2) a pound of pork loin chop
*half(1/2) a bundle water spinach (kangkong) vegetable(sold in Oriental or Asian Store)
*ginger
*onion
*salt(iodized)

Procedure:
*Cut the pork loin chop into square as for the soup size and wash. Set aside.
*Slice the onion and flatten the ginger.
*Boil 2-3 cups of water and once boiled: put the pork, ginger, and salt. And wait until it boil again.
*Once boiled again, put the kangkong and sliced onion. And let it boil again for the third time and taste. And done! Serve hot. Good for two(2) persons.

For Roman Catholic, the Lord's Day is Sunday. As the Lord's Day, Sunday should be filled with worship, relaxation and family time, not errands and work. So, I went to mass that day. I was in the church 2 hours before the mass started. With that two hours, I pray, lighted up the candle I bought and after it I search the place of the newsletter. In there I grabbed the leaflet and saw the written letter to the church attenders to fight FOCA (Freedom of Choice Act). It has been said that it endangers Women and silency the voices of everyday American. As what we knew, the President-Elect said which he address to Planned Parenthood "The first thing I'd do as a President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. And that's the first thing I'd do."
That was what my Sunday experience as the DAy of the Lord. Have a Nice Day Everyone! How do you like it?
